How to find grants for self-catering properties
Marketing updatesThere are many grants available for self-catering property owners including Carbon Zero, Rural Innovation and EV charging. England, Scotland and Wales all have schemes available and here we give advice on where to look.
Owners of self-catering properties may be eligible for a variety of grants offering a range of assistance. Finding grants though can be time consuming and here are our reccommendations on where to look.
1. Register with your location council for Business Updates and these should signpost any grants available.
2. Take a look on the property council website for available grants. You will probably have to use your initiative when searching as it is unlikely the grant will be headed self-catering or holiday home”. These could cover a wide range of opportunities such as Net Zero, solar panels or Rural Business Grants which are in place to help rural businesses diversify and develop their existing products such as nature recovery.
3. In England LEP’s (Local Enterprise Partnerships) offers business grant support, however this is changing from the end of March when it will either move into local council or be replaced by an alternative organisation. You can find your local LEP and updated information here.
4. Most LEP’s have a Growth Hub, and this is the business section where you will find which grants are on offer. This is the ideal place to look for help with your digital requirements and may cover anything from help with creating a new website to base level computing skills.
