Holiday Letting in Northumberland

Holiday letting guide

Why holiday let with Classic Cottages

We might be new to Northumberland, but with decades of experience in holiday lets across the UK, we are certainly not new to the world of holiday cottages, and we are very excited to bring the same Classic Cottages expertise to Northumberland with our lovely Area Manager Linda at the helm.

Family-run and people-focused, we offer a personal service in which we nurture and support everyone from our owners to our guests to our staff, which is reflected in our Which? Recommended status for four years running and thousands of loyal customers and owners who return year after year for the level of service we provide.

As we’ve been working in the holiday let industry since 1977, we have grown to truly understand that it’s not just holiday cottages we’re offering. We provide a holiday and everything that comes with it, so we are always on hand whether someone needs help finding that perfect holiday cottage in Northumberland or somewhere spectacular to visit while away.

Your own dedicated Area Manager

With many years of experience in customer service and sales roles, Linda is always on hand to help you let your beautiful self-catering holiday cottage or lodge in Northumberland. She loves meeting new people and working with owners to achieve the highest potential from their property.

Linda is extremely grateful to live on the beautiful East Coast of Yorkshire with its glorious sandy beaches and fabulous coastal villages - not to mention the dramatic scenes of the North York Moors National Park with its rolling vistas of heather (and very friendly sheep!). Further afield, Linda loves to visit different areas of England, including the Peak District and Northumberland. And having spent many happy holidays in these areas, Linda is wonderfully familiar with their awe-inspiring landscapes and breathtaking locations.

Why choose Northumberland for holiday letting?

With sprawling coastlines and expansive countryside that rolls across the land in dramatic waves of ancient woodland and hidden corners, Northumberland is a beloved place for a holiday for very good reason. Looking for adventure, people visit Northumberland for the beautiful scenery, the incredible walking and cycling trails, and the fascinating history woven deep into the landscape. Combining history with breathtaking scenery, Hadrian’s Wall has long been a draw for those exploring Northumberland, while the likes of Bamburgh Castle inspire a sense of grandeur, from the incredible coastal setting to the stories and histories within.

With 62 miles of rambling coastline, Northumberland’s coastal cottages are a wonderful choice, offering guests easy access to golden beaches and spellbinding islands. From family-friendly days on the beach to spectacular walks by the glittering sea, Northumberland’s coast has something for all. Peppering the coast and patchwork interior, chocolate-box towns and villages welcome visitors to explore winding streets, independent shops, and cosy pubs and restaurants, offering the perfect place to pause and slow down while exploring the untamed landscapes that surround.

What should I buy in Northumberland?

When it comes to choosing a location for your Northumberland holiday let, there are lots of things you can consider to help you find the right spot. For cottages by the sea in Northumberland: Bamburgh, Seahouses, and Alnmouth are all popular spots, with stunning sea views inspiring guests from all over the UK to pull on their walking boots and soak up the beautiful coastal setting. Heading inland, Alnwick is a fascinating town with a rich history and impressive castle.

Perfectly placed for visitors to explore Northumberland’s dramatic landscapes, cosy self-catering cottages and lodges are a wonderful escape for all. Hot tubs are always a striking feature that attracts more bookings as they provide the perfect end to a magical day spent exploring the many hidden corners of this stunning county. In the cooler months, wood burners and fire pits add a toasty touch of warmth, while gorgeous outside spaces entice those searching for a summer stay. With more and more people travelling with their dogs, making your holiday cottage dog-friendly is a great way to appeal to a wider audience. Offering short breaks opens your Northumberland holiday let to more people, while smaller cottages promise a dreamy setting for a romantic retreat. From stylish interiors full of charm to added extras that put your holiday let on the map, our lovely Area Manager Linda can offer advice on how best to create a holiday cottage that people will want to return to, year after year.
