Welcome to Tinners Cottage a Grade II Listed stylish, romantic hideaway. It is found in the heart of a peaceful hamlet near the north Cornish coastal village of Pendeen. Located within a National Landscape, formerly known as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this sweet mid-terraced miner's cottage sleeping two lucky guests has been renovated to the highest standard yet still retains its original charm and character.

Step into the cottage through the stable-door where you will discover a bijou but perfectly formed kitchen/diner which boasts granite worktops, integrated appliances, and traditional slate flooring. A few steps take you into the cosy sitting-room with modern furnishings and a toasty wood-burner in the granite inglenook fireplace, perfect for those chillier days.

Head up the narrow stairs to the stepped landing. One step takes you up into the stylish king-size bedroom, where you can wake each morning to a far-reaching vista across the Cornish hills. From the small landing (opposite the bedroom) take a step up into the super shower-room which is perfect for indulging in after a day of gallivanting around Cornwall.

Outside, the pretty garden is a tranquil spot where you can enjoy lazy sunny days with a good book and end the day tucking into an al fresco supper.

Your location is very special, and Tinners Cottage is perfectly located to join the coast paths to either Sennen or St Ives! A personal favourite of ours is the walk from Pendeen to Gwenver, the scenery along the way is truly breathtaking passing by the white lighthouse of Pendeen Watch and Boat Cove. You could even spot a seal or two.

Pendeen is a typical miners' village, and has a local shop where you can stock up on your essentials, a coffee shop and a lovely local pub called The North Inn. Visit Geevor Mine and have a look around the museum, afterwards you can stop for a while in their gift store and buy a souvenir and then why not enjoy a cream tea in the little cafe overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

A short drive away you will discover Newlyn. Enjoy exploring this bustling port, watch the fishing boats come and go and buy fresh fish from the numerous fishmonger's shops. Art lovers should visit the Newlyn Art Gallery, and of course the Tate and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden both in St Ives. St Ives is best reached by train from Penzance as the scenery along the way is breathtaking.

If you can take in a trip to the world famous Minack Theatre, dramatically perched on the cliffs above Porthcurno, it's well worth a visit and even more magical if you can see a production or concert whilst there, but don't forget to take a warm snuggly blanket as it can get very chilly.
