DoubleTwo doggies are welcome to join you when you stay at cute as a button Prospect Cottage. This traditionally presented darling little terraced cottage, situated in far west Cornwall is ideally located for nature lovers, dog walkers and those escaping the humdrum.
Once you have driven up the little unmade lane parked up and unloaded the car, two granite steps lead into the open plan living-room with a wonderful warming French stove, perfect for lighting on cooler days making this a year-round destination. The charming, bijou kitchen area with delightful hand-made, hand-coloured tiles and artworks showcase the owners artistic flair and will surely inspire the designated chef to prepare a delightful dish for a memorable meal.
Upstairs is the double bedroom, decorated in relaxing, soft blue and cream hues to encourage a restful night of slumber, and a bathroom with fresh white suite for ablutions at the start and end of a busy day.
Really pretty courtyards to both the front and to the rear of the property are filled with potted plants brimming with ferns, flowers and foliage and provide a relaxing, peaceful spot for a morning coffee, an evening night cap or maybe somewhere to just sit and be.
Located inland on Cornwall's far west peninsula, the cottage is a superb base from which to explore. Walkers and birdwatchers will enjoy the flora and fauna of the rugged, heather clad moors and wetlands that surround this area, while both coastlines are less than a 10 minute drive away - the sea views along both coasts are well worth the drive there.
Penzance, St Just and Pendeen are each within three miles where essentials can easily be bought when needed, and further afield, the historic, busy fishing port of Newlyn, magical Mousehole and needing no introduction, St Ives, should be on your 'must' visits.
If you fancy some culture, visit the Minack Theatre, if gardens are your thing Trengwainton Garden, Tanglewood Wild Garden and Tremenheere Sculpture Garden are each worth a visit and for those simply seeking some beach vibes, Porthcurno, Sennen Cove or Nanjizal beach are the ones to spend a lazy hazy afternoon in the sun.
