SingleGlebe Farmhouse is a delightful Grade II Listed, detached, granite cottage steeped in history and nestled in the rugged beauty of the Land's End peninsula. Tucked within a tranquil parish, it offers a scenic walk to Carn Euny, a preserved ancient village which was occupied from the Iron Age until late Roman times, making it a dream retreat for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.
Inside, the farmhouse blends traditional charm with modern comfort. The heart of the home is the contemporary kitchen leading to a spacious dining-room where a grand fireplace with roaring wood-burner creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Rustic beams, flagstone floors and preserved floorboards all nod to the cottage's heritage whilst the newly appointed well-equipped kitchen make for effortless cooking and dining.
The huge sitting-room is a cosy space, featuring another impressive wood-burner and deep comfortable seating, original wood panelling and stripped pine doors, this is the perfect place for unwinding after a day exploring the west of this magnificent county.
Upstairs the bedrooms exude charm and comfort. The principal, antique furnished, double bedroom boasts an en suite shower-room and another delightful double offers a cosy retreat with sweet set windows throwing in natural light. Two charming singles provide a haven for two extra lucky guests. A beautifully finished traditional family bathroom completes the upstairs, offering a relaxing place to soak and refresh.
Outside, the enclosed garden is a haven of tranquility, ideal for al fresco dining amidst the Cornish countryside.
With miles of breathtaking walks on the doorstep from moorlands to dramatic coastal trails, take a hike to Cot Valley, the narrow-wooded valley tucked away near St Just, with its stream winding to the sea. Beyond, the landscape shifts and you can head to Sennen Cove by car, where sweeping sands and the vast Atlantic horizon unfold before you. A coastal path offering breathtaking views plunging into turquoise waters. Sennen has long been a place of pilgrimage, whether surfers chasing waves, walkers seeking solitude or those drawn to its spiritual pull.
Whilst in the west there is so much more to explore, cross the causeway to St Michael's Mount in Marazion, visit the quaint fishing villages of Mousehole and St Ives and stop off at the bustling harbour in Newlyn, choose the freshest fish landed there and head back to prepare supper.
Glebe Farmhouse offers a true escape and is perfectly positioned to explore west Cornwall's wild and wonderful landscape.
