Super-kingHidden away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle of life you will discover The Pool House, set in glorious south Devon just a few minutes in the car from Wembury Beach. This stunning holiday home is an architectural dream and a designer's delight with styling and furnishings that will captivate throughout. It is ideal for families or a group of friends deserving of a dreamy holiday abode and not forgetting your four-legged friends who will have a happy waggy tail from the moment they arrive!
This glorious house oozes style with awe-inspiring views towards Dartmoor and the estuary. The open plan living area provides ample space for total relaxation, allowing the family to come together and enjoy reconnecting with no distractions, yet with plenty of nooks to escape to. The dining-area seamlessly links to the fully equipped kitchen creating the perfect spot for the family to enjoy a brunch after a lazy morning of hot tub indulgence as the children play in the garden. This house offers so many wow areas it's hard to really justify with words but on arrival the feeling of luxury will wash over you and allow you to instantly relax into holiday mode.
All four of the bedrooms have been styled with luxury in mind offering sumptuous beds and clean, crisp linens ensuring you sleep well at your holiday abode. The main bedroom, located on the first floor, is rather special with wonderful views and a fully fitted en suite; in truth, you have a rather special and luxurious suite. The further three bedrooms are located on the ground floor. The first, a double, has been decorated with calm and peace in mind and benefits from an en suite shower-room. The remaining bedrooms, a double and a twin, are bright and decorated with fun in mind and share a family bathroom offering a bath and a shower cubicle. Tucked away at the end of the house is a snug creating the perfect spot to work, read or relax whilst enjoying a glorious landscape view of Devon at its best.
The outdoor space at The Pool House really is a slice of heaven with incredible views and oodles of space. The raised patio-area takes full advantage of the views creating the perfect morning al fresco spot. The hot tub is both private and perfectly positioned and the garden fireplace nook is a sublime setting to enjoy the unpolluted night sky whilst pouring a glass of red. The pond is a real treat and for those early risers you might spot a deer having a drink as the sun rises on a new day. You can even feed the fish during your stay. Hidden at the bottom of the garden you will discover a swing that can be enjoyed by one and all with the feeling of being in the trees with no ground underneath as you take flight!
As the sun moves, it's time to head to the second entertaining area, simply light the barbecue, pour a sundowner and enjoy reminiscing about the day's adventures whilst tucking into a barbecue feast and talking into the wee small hours.
The village of Wembury and the local pub are within a walkable distance (one mile down country lanes). Another mile on, a beach awaits with golden sands and rock pools for young and old to explore. The water here is clean and shallow, and ideal for families with young children to enjoy a splash-about. You can also explore the miles upon miles of coast path, taking in the views whilst enjoying the sea air. When it comes to beaches, you are spoilt for choice on the south coast!
Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo are two picturesque coastal villages which sit opposite each other on the Yealm Estuary. The creek also offers the perfect spot to paddle board and why not finish up with a bite to eat in one of the pubs?
The wild beauty of Dartmoor is within easy reach and really is a must. A family favourite has to be a drive out to Cadover bridge for ice cream and a splash in the river. A day can be spent exploring the maritime city of Plymouth, home to the National Marine Aquarium, the iconic Smeaton's Tower lighthouse at Plymouth Hoe, and the cosmopolitan Barbican area teeming with interesting bars and cafes.
