Just a mile from the superb surfing waves and glorious sandy beaches at Perranporth, this beautiful chocolate box thatched cottage is the perfect holiday location for family gatherings or groups of friends. Tretawny has everything you need whether you choose to relax by the sea or explore further afield and of course no holiday is complete without the family four-legged friend who is most welcome here.

Stroll down the path from the car parking space, through the front garden taking in the idyllic surroundings, open the stable door and step inside this extra special home-from-home. The hallway with all the original curved stone walls leads you through the ground floor where the low beams and sloping ceilings throughout really add to the charm of this property.

The inviting kitchen/dining room is found down four steps from the entrance hall, the kitchen is fully fitted and expertly kitted out with all you could need for your holiday menu and the statement artwork adds a splash of colour and character. The large dining-table is the place for family feasting and those oh so delicious after supper drinks and chats.

Step through the hallway and down four stairs into the sitting-room complete with squishy sofas and a wood-burner effect electric stove where you can cosy up with board games, indulging in good old-fashioned quality time. Further along the hallway there's a wonderful snug room, a perfect space for the children to go and play while the adults take a well-earned rest.

The staircase leads from the sitting-room upstairs to three beautifully furnished bedrooms all located on the first floor. Bedroom one boasts a luxurious larger-than-king size bed (160cm), TV and en suite complete with bath, shower attachment and a heated towel rail. The lovely deep bath is perfect for soaking in and daydreaming after a long day exploring Cornwall. The second bedroom can be set up as a super-king or twin beds, meanwhile the cute bunk-bed room is a favourite with kids. There's also an additional shower-room upstairs with a heated towel rail to keep your fluffy towels warm and toasty.

Outside, the patio and garden that surrounds the rear of the cottage is just made for lazy evening entertaining. On the patio you'll find a table for six, perfect for summer celebrations, and there's a barbecue too.

Tempting six lucky guests, this gorgeous semi-detached quintessential cottage can be found in the little village of Bolingey, a laid back and friendly hamlet on the north Cornish coast. Tretawny is a short walk from the charming Bolingey Inn a delightful 17th Century traditional Cornish inn.

Nearby Perranporth has a small supermarket, cafes, pubs, restaurants and ice cream parlours as well as all the usual trappings of a traditional seaside town. Why not take a day trip to Newquay, offering a wonderful choice of shops, places to eat and drink, and stacks of visitor attractions. Head for Trenance Gardens and Leisure Park, home to Newquay Zoo and enjoy close encounters with big cats, penguins and creepy crawlies. This beautiful green space is also a lovely place for evening strolls, family picnics, boat rides and refreshments at the lakeside cafe.

Take a day trip to nearby Crantock which feels like a different Cornwall, a reminder of when times were lived at a slower pace. The village has narrow little lanes and old stone cottages surrounded by beautiful gardens, a small village green and two ancient pubs, both serving the most delicious local dishes. Crantock beach is equally as adorable and is one of Cornwall's most beautiful. Visit 'Cargo Coffee' an old army truck which has been cleverly converted into a unique pop-up coffee shop on the beach, serving piping hot organic coffee, freshly made sandwiches, home-made cakes and luxury ice creams.

Designed for sharing, Tretawny is a very family-friendly abode, but if it's a romantic coastal retreat you crave, then this luxury cottage is just as perfect for couples looking to reconnect. With relaxed living at heart, from lazy mornings to drawn out evenings Tretawny will inspire you to kick back, relax and settle into the Cornish pace of life.

Please be aware that Tretawny is a true character cottage with low ceilings and has steps throughout and is not suited for those with limited mobility.
