Mellifount Farm

Escape to the Sussex countryside and stay in this beautiful oak-framed barn situated in a quiet rural location overlooking wooded farmland and paddocks, where you can sometimes see horses grazing.

A short drive and a stroll from the village of Newick, Mellifount Farm is conveniently based for visiting Brighton and the towns of Uckfield, Haywards Heath, Lewes and the world-famous Glyndebourne Opera House!

As you step into the barn you are greeted with a sense of calm. The open plan living area is spacious with a vaulted ceiling and homely furnishings making it a welcoming space to unwind and relax after a busy day exploring. Snuggle up on the sofa, take in the countryside views or watch your favourite movie whilst keeping cosy in front of the delightful wood-burner.

The kitchen is compact but well-equipped for rustling up a culinary delight. It has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/drier and Nespresso coffee machine.

When the time calls to turn in for the night, you will find two peaceful bedrooms towards the back of the barn that have views overlooking the garden. Both bedrooms have king-size double beds, one with an en suite bathroom and the other bedroom has access to a spacious wet-room.

Double doors from the living area open to the patio and garden. It makes the perfect spot for stargazing, al fresco dining or a lovely spot to watch the horses or taking in the wildlife that frequently visit the paddocks and surrounding countryside.

Please note that the barn is next door to the owners' property and the garden is unfenced so from time to time the owners' small dogs may visit to say hello if you are sitting out in the garden.

You may be lucky to spot the horses grazing in the nearby paddocks but please do not go into the paddocks or stable-area with the horses or feed them.
