Escape to this delightful 17th Century barn conversion set within a National Landscape (formerly known as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). With exceptional sea views and stunning sunsets, Brea Barn Cottage is a beautifully restored home for four lucky guests, set in sweeping grounds. This cottage is so perfectly situated for enthusiastic walkers, with easy access to the Salt Path and within touching distance of Chapel Carn Brea.

This charming home is enchanting and captivating and features two spacious king-size bedrooms, one conveniently located downstairs and the other upstairs, each with its own private en suite finished to an exceptional standard.

Enter this sweet cottage from an enclosed courtyard garden into an open plan living area with homely interiors, original features and a warm inviting atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen with a cosy dining-area, is a place friends and family can plan excursions over delicious meals. Downstairs the charming king-size bedroom has an en suite shower-room, whilst upstairs, tranquil bedroom two features a luxurious bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring.

Outside the adventure really starts, grab a glass of bubbles and head off to the garden cabin, situated within the grounds, and overlooking an organic pond with stunning sea views in the distance. The cabin offers guests a superb additional living space with a useful second shower-room, perfect after a spot of sunbathing in the garden. This location is one of the best places in the UK to watch the sun sinking into the Atlantic Ocean. The sky here transforms into a breathtaking canvas, have your camera ready to catch the orange, pink and gold rays cast over the crashing waves.

The owners of this idyllic semi-detached home live just next door and are happy to offer advice on the property and local area and even lend a boogie board for you to experiment with the waves.

From the cottage join the Salt Path, a journey through rugged cliffs, wild moorland and breathtaking views, shaped by the elements and history. Walking this iconic stretch you will encounter the natural contours of the land, waves carving the headlands, winds sculpting the gorse and heather and the ever-changing light across the Atlantic.

Chapel Carn Brea, just behind this lovely home, is one of Cornwall's most ancient and sacred hills. Rising with a commanding presence, often called the first and last hill in England, it once was a site of Neolithic burial chambers and later a beacon hill where signal fires guided the sailors home. More recently Chapel Carn Brea was famously mentioned in the words of the beautiful Cornish song "Cornwall My Home", written by Harry Glasson in 1997 for Cape Cornwall Singers. The ever-popular Fisherman's Friends can often be heard singing it too. This area and indeed this song, captures the true spirit of Cornwall and its deep connections to the sea.

Head over and catch the best waves in the county at Sennen Cove, or for a more tranquil day, try rock pooling at Gwenver which is just five minutes by car. Having reached the west of Cornwall and relaxed into your stay in this idyllic setting, prepare the next exploration, all close by, you can take a dip at the Art Deco Jubilee Pool in Penzance, admire the traditional fishing village in nearby Mousehole, and don't forget to buy the best catch of the day in the historical bustling harbour in Newlyn. So much to explore and your canine companion is so welcome to join the journey.

The holiday does not need to finish here, take a short walk to Land's End Airport, your gateway to the stunning Isles of Scilly, with flights so near you can swap Cornwall's rugged cliffs for the Scillies' islands of white sands and turquoise waters.
