SingleSituated in the beautiful National Landscape of the Blackdown Hills, The Coach House is a spacious, characterful cottage ready to welcome you and your four-legged friend.
As you step through the front door into the porch, you will find a handy utility-room which is perfect for muddy boots and dogs after long walks in the countryside. Just off this area take one step up to the modern shower-room.
On the ground floor you will also find the country-style kitchen that has a sweet table for morning coffee. Please note that the Aga is ornamental but the electric oven and hob give ample space for you to cook up holiday treats. Just next door there is a separate dining-room so you can sit and enjoy each other's company over leisurely meals.
Four steps up from the dining-room is the sitting-room with its beautiful full-length windows which flood the room with light. A super-comfy sofa offers the perfect spot to kick back and relax to watch a film or get competitive with a board game. Don't forget to light the wood-burner and watch the comforting flames flicker. From the sitting-room there are sliding patio doors out to your private terrace and garden where you can sit and savour a glass of something bubbly in the sunshine.
Heading up the stairs from the sitting-room, there are two pretty bedrooms. Both bedrooms have picturesque views across the owners' gardens and boast excellent storage space. Soft linens and calming tones ensure you will feel totally relaxed in the sleeping quarters. Between the two bedrooms there is a second shower-room with a large shower enclosure and luxurious drench head - please do take care near the low beam in this room.
Your private terrace and lawned-area can be enclosed when the gates are shut giving a safe space for your dog to explore whilst you enjoy evening meals on the terrace. Please take care when using the terrace as it is on differing levels.
The Coach House is attached to the owners' home but there is a high level of privacy and the gardens are separate; please ensure the wrought iron gate at the side of your garden remains closed during your stay.
Bishopswood is a small, attractive village that boasts a friendly local pub, The Candlelight Inn, which is a short walk away from the cottage. Beyond the village you are enveloped by countryside where the Somerset and Devon borders meet. The Blackdown Hills are a paradise for walkers, cyclists, nature enthusiasts or those simply wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Hop in the car and within 40 minutes you can find yourself at the coast at Lyme Regis which has a golden sandy beach and a number of excellent places to eat. You will be spoilt for choice of things to do from The Coach House, or you may decide to hunker down and relax as you have all you need for a wonderful break on your doorstep!
