KingThis beautiful barn has been finished to the highest of standards, offering the ideal retreat for that special family gathering or that long awaited break with friends. This countryside retreat offers tranquility and relaxation in abundance, the 'icing on the cake' being that a short stroll will find you in the heart of the village, which is home to The King's Arms, perfect for enjoying a local ale or giving chef the night off.
Churchstyle Barn oozes flair and comfort combined. The open plan living-room ensures that playing, dining and relaxing as a party, is so easy to do. Just outside your front door, in the large, fully enclosed courtyard, you will find a charming spot to sit and soak up the sunshine, whether it be enjoying your morning coffee or sparking up the barbecue for a touch of al fresco dining - whatever you choose, this lovely spot caters for all needs.
Retiring back to the barn in the evening, switch on the wood-burner effect electric stove and relax and unwind whilst planning tomorrow's adventures. A good night's sleep is essential when there is so much adventure and exploration to enjoy and the five beautiful bedrooms will not disappoint. On the ground floor you have a super-king size bed, which can also be configured into a twin room on request. Heading upstairs you have four more bedrooms, each beautifully presented and ready to treat you to a great night's sleep. On request, occasional sleeping can be arranged within the living-room.
Exploring and enjoying this beautiful part of the world is essential. Within seven miles you have the bustling market town of Honiton, where you can browse the antiques shops, for which Honiton is so well-known. Market day is fun here too - with plenty of stalls to investigate. If it's a beach day you seek, slightly further afield you have the seaside towns of Seaton, Lyme Regis and Branscombe, all nestled on the Jurassic Coast and the great news is, all are within a short car journey. A day exploring and adventure is just around the corner.
The 'cherry on top' is returning to the beautiful Churchstyle Barn, to relax, play and unwind in; simply wonderful. To aid your holiday, the very friendly owners live within the grounds and are on hand at any time to help make your holiday perfect.
This area of east Devon is a delight. It is very easy to reach on the main roads into Devon and yet within moments, you are completely off the beaten track in beautiful unspoilt countryside. Churchstyle Barn is on the edge of Stockland village, nestled in the heart of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape. The glorious Blackdown Hills cover an area of over 140 square miles, boasting diverse habitats, magical woodlands and river valleys, all offering a great experience for both young and old. Why not explore this stunning area on horseback or via one of the numerous walking or cycling routes, there really is something to entertain the whole party.
A holiday to this beautiful part of the world is not complete without enjoying the fabulous Jurassic Coast. A pleasant car journey will find you at the heart of so many hot spots and attractions, you will be spoilt for choice. Whether it's a day spent at one of the many beaches peppered along this beautiful coastline or soaking up the infamous hot spots, such as Jacobs Ladder in the regency town of Sidmouth, the attraction and action is endless.
If a day mooching around the local towns is your preference, the neighbouring towns of Honiton and Axminster are perfect for all your amenities and supplies, not forgetting they both offer a variety of cafes and welcoming Devon watering holes.
