Within the pretty Somerset village of Churchinford, this tranquil cottage has been furnished with comfort in mind. There is so much to explore locally with the Blackdown Hills (which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) on your doorstep and, going further afield, the coast at Lyme Regis or the towns of Taunton and Honiton. It's the perfect place for a break away.

From the moment you step into this welcoming cottage, you will feel at home. Stepping down into the light filled sitting-room, you will find a lovely room to relax in at the end of a busy day exploring. It is the ideal spot to curl up with a book or catch up over a drink before dinner. The Smart TV also boasts BT Sport for the sports fans among you. The chef in the group will not be disappointed with the well-appointed kitchen which is a great social space to create those meals to share together. And, if you want a moment to yourself, why not relax in a comfy chair in the conservatory? Completing the ground floor is the modern shower-room - the perfect place to rinse those sandy toes if you decided to head to the Jurassic coast for a walk along the shoreline.

The bedrooms are both of a good size. The twin room is next to the bathroom on the first floor and is ideal for children or friends wanting to share. The beds can be pushed together and made up as a super-king if required. The main bedroom to the front of the cottage has glorious views and a balcony to enjoy them from. You are sure to get a restful sleep in the sumptuous bed especially as you are in such a peaceful location.

The village is a short stroll up the lane where you will find the local pub - The York Inn - which makes a great pit stop if you have been out stretching your legs for the day. This pub has been voted the Somerset Pub of the Year for 2023 so it is certainly worth a visit but, as you would expect, is very popular so you would be wise to book ahead. The village shop and Post Office has everything you could want for a gourmet dinner or a delicious snack. The village hall has a monthly market, a monthly film show in the winter and lots going on during the week.

The coast at Lyme Regis is about 40 minutes' drive away and once you're there you can follow in the footsteps of Mary Anning and search for you own fossils to take home. Dartmoor and Exmoor are within striking distance if you want to pack a picnic and enjoy a day out exploring these lovely national parks. The county town of Taunton isn't far and you can head into the historic town of Honiton - a must if you love antiques.
