KingWelcome to the ultimate piece of Cornish paradise, perfect for a couple's getaway from the hubbub of everyday life. Set in a secluded spot within an ethereal estate that has been lovingly developed with sustainable tourism at its heart, it's within easy reach of fantastic eateries, ancient coves and beautiful gardens.
This fabulous, semi-detached retreat is a true hideaway, accessed through grand serpentine pillars down a private driveway and shared only with the owners and other holiday guests (and some resident peacocks, who may drop by to welcome you!).
Found down a short pathway that meanders past a young apple orchard, Le Brett has stunning French doors that enter straight into the sumptuous open plan living, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is wonderfully appointed with everything you will need to whip up some holiday treats to complement your well-earned relaxation time on the boutique-style sofa after a day exploring the rugged coastline.
The bedroom is lovely, large and light with an en suite bathroom that has a bath and separate shower cubicle, all of which is spread across the ground floor, with no steps other than a small one to access the property. The short walk from the parking-area is sloped with no steps and is approximately 50 yards.
Le Brett is one of four idyllic retreats, lovingly redeveloped and all powered by renewable energy in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The retreats are nestled within an estate that is being devotedly cared for by the owners to provide a sustainable and healthy environment for bees, birds and wildlife to thrive in.
Less than a two-minute drive from one of Cornwall's most unique and sought-after restaurants, Jumunjy Thai Cuisine and Bar, make sure you book ahead to get a table in their innovative paradise restaurant! Just up the road, you will find Bonython Estate Gardens which is open to visitors in the summer months and has a stunning Georgian house, walled garden, potager garden, lakes and woodland walk. One and a half miles away you can explore the delightful sheltered and sandy cove of Poldhu, which is home to a wonderful beach cafe, serving up delectable breakfasts on the beach, ice creams and iconic hot chocolates.
About five miles south, you will find the Lizard, where there is a must-see signal station, Bass Point and which is also home to Polpeor Cafe (Britain's most southerly eatery) with unparalleled views of the Atlantic. The Lizard is a geological place of interest and is home to its own microclimate with flora not found anywhere else in the UK. Take a lovely walk from Lizard Village to Kynance Cove, voted the number one beach to visit nationwide.
