KingTucked away down a secluded lane within an enchanting historic estate, this Grade II Listed barn conversion has incredible high ceilings and beautiful original beams and is situated just a couple of miles from the quintessential Cornish village of Mullion. Stephen Davey Barn has been restored into a glorious and spacious holiday abode, with sustainable tourism at its heart. It is perfect for a big family get together, and close to all the hidden gems that Cornwall has to offer. You will never want to leave!
Charming peacocks reside here year-round and wander freely around the estate, if you're lucky you may spot one. Your patio-area has a view of the clock tower, which is a magnificent sight, steeped in history and constructed in the 1800s from serpentine blocks.
Inside features reverse level accommodation. When you step in, you are welcomed by a huge open living space with a kitchen big enough for the whole family to muck in, and a comfy sofa and sitting-area at the opposite end. The lovely dining-table has plenty of space for everyone to sit around together and share tales of the day.
Downstairs you will find two fabulous king-sized bedrooms and two perfect twins. Comfortable and chic, snuggle up in the luxury linen with a good book after a day exploring Cornwall's coves and beaches. You will also find a sparkling bathroom at one end, and a shower-room at the other.
Stephen Davey Barn is one of four idyllic retreats, lovingly redeveloped and all powered by renewable energy, sitting pretty in a National Landscape area. The retreats are privately tucked away within a historical manor where the owners' put their mission to sustain a healthy and safe environment for plants and wildlife to thrive, at the forefront of what they do.
Although you are holidaying in rural Cornwall, there is a delectable Thai cuisine restaurant a very short distance away (make sure you book ahead for their magical paradise restaurant, as its very popular!). Or perhaps you fancy a meal in a traditional thatched pub at The Old Inn at Mullion, which has lovely outdoor seating and a great reputation for their meals.
You will be so spoilt for choice at what's on offer in the area, from diving, to hiking to beaching, Cornish ice cream hot spots, waterside eateries and flower farms, you could even hire a boat to explore The Helford River, which is lined by magnificent oaks. Stephen Davey Barn is perfectly situated in the heart of the Lizard peninsula, with all the Cornish gems within easy reach for a perfect family getaway.
