SingleCountryside charm and vintage elegance rolled into one, The Pigsty is a perfect romantic getaway or retreat for a little family holiday as it sleeps up to three lucky guests. The Pigsty is a spacious, luxury bolthole and oozes effortless style and comfort from the moment you walk inside; it's set in a cluster of similar barns and snuggled at the end of a sheltered lane just outside the sleepy hamlet of St Levan.
Arrive and walk down the charming little path, taking in the stunning countryside that surrounds you. Walk into the spacious kitchen with its Belfast sink and oak work surfaces, hang your coats on the coat pegs beside the door and instantly relax. The sitting-room is flooded with light and has a comfy sofa and pre-loved rocking chair basking in the toasty warmth of the wood-burner so you can stretch out after a day walking the coastal footpaths or exploring the many art galleries in west Cornwall.
A charming antique dining-table and wooden chairs nestle between the sofas and kitchen, perfect for long lunches and laid back intimate suppers.
The Pigsty has just the one family bedroom with an elegant mix of old and new, this bright and light room houses a comfy double bed and day bed (perfect for a younger child). There's a delightful shower-room to wake you up in the morning or to cool down after a day out exploring.
Stable-doors lead out from the open plan living-room onto the gorgeous, enclosed patio, sheltered by an old Cornish hedge. Overlooking fields where you may spot the odd cow or sheep (as The Pigsty is located on a working farm) this is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner G&T.
A short drive away takes you to Porthcurno. Here the beach really is like a piece of paradise, spend long days soaking up the sun and exploring the rock pools and coves nearby.
Famously known for the Minack, Porthcurno is home to this entirely unique open-air theatre that's perched high up on the cliffs. With only the breath-taking and ever-changing view of the Atlantic Ocean as its back-drop, this is a truly special spot. From the beach you can even climb up the steps and rocks built into the cliffside, for an amazing panoramic view of the coastline.
Located away from it all but only a short journey to some of the best the far west of Cornwall has to offer, you're only 10 minutes by car to the amazing Sennen and Gwenver beaches or 15 minutes to Newlyn harbour for some of the freshest seafood there is.
Dreamy and darling, this gem in west Cornwall is just a delight, perfect for couples and small families we guarantee that you'll never want to leave.
