TwinWind your way along country lanes to this idyllic haven, in the heart of the beautiful Tamar Valley, where you are sure to spend many an hour enjoying the wonderful views down to Kingsmill Lake, a tidal creek running down to the River Tamar. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty, this rural paradise is a superb location for wildlife enthusiasts, walkers and those who love peaceful countryside.
It is furnished to a very high standard and extremely comfortable throughout, with vaulted ceilings, wooden floors, gorgeous bedrooms, stylish shower-rooms, a balcony to make the most of those far reaching views and a small private garden area offering a lovely setting for dining in the great outdoors.
The owners live on site and once they and their friendly dog Laika have given you a hearty greeting they will leave you to relax and enjoy your holiday.
This very attractive cottage is beautifully decorated and furnished, and provides a tranquil base for what will no doubt be a great holiday. Step inside and you will be delighted. The large entrance hall provides a wonderful welcome with its vast vaulted ceiling and criss-cross of stairs leading up to the third bedroom, a lovely twin bedroom nestled up under the eaves (so please mind your head), and the large comfortable sitting-room that leads out to the balcony - where you are sure to spend endless hours taking in that fabulous view. Leading off the entrance hall are two further bedrooms and a stylish shower-room and on the ground floor there's a further shower-room and the delightful fully equipped kitchen/dining-room with double doors looking out onto the owners' large garden and providing access to your own private garden area.
You will be tempted to just settle down with a good book, relax and unwind; however being based close to the Devon and Cornwall border your choice of great days out are plentiful.
You're in Cornwall so a trip to the coast is a must. Head north to ride the waves at Bude and Polzeath or find hidden coves, bays and charming fishing villages on the south coast. The popular seaside town of Looe, still a working fishing port, is worth a visit; you can build sandcastles on the beach, take to the coastal footpath or enjoy fish and chips on the pier.
Cross the Tamar and majestic Dartmoor with its rugged landscapes and dramatic granite tors is waiting to be discovered, or visit the maritime city of Plymouth to stroll around the historic Barbican and Plymouth Hoe, enjoy some first class theatre or grab a bite to eat at the city's trendy Royal William Yard. Head up the Tamar to hire a canoe and enjoy your own river adventure, or visit the gorgeous National Trust house and gardens at Cotehele. For more gardens and great houses The Garden House and Saltram (National Trust) will not disappoint and, if golf is your game, The China Fleet Club and St Mellion are close by.
