KingWhether you’re a walker, a lover of nature and the coast or you simply want to unwind and spend time together then look no further than Meadow Barn. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, this gorgeous single-storey barn conversion oozes comfort and tranquility and is perfect for couples seeking a restful haven. You can spend your days relaxing on the terrace, lazing in the wild flower meadow or wandering through the woodlands and getting at one with nature.
Reached along a private drive, this lovely location is only a few minutes from Cornwall’s north coast with coastal footpaths, superb beaches, pretty fishing villages and towns waiting to be discovered and with great access to good roads for exploring further, what more could you want.
Beautifully presented and retaining its character and charm, the open plan living-room will ensure that you enjoy as much together as possible; from preparing breakfasts in the country-style kitchen, to snuggling up in front of the toasty wood-burner at the end of the day watching a holiday film. Patio doors lead out to the terrace where you can enjoy dining in the great outdoors or take an evening stroll around the communal gardens and wildflower meadow listening to the sounds of the countryside.
In a sheltered spot away from the friendly owners’ home and pretty Treforda Cottage (4175) next to them, the owners are happy to welcome you and offer advice but equally happy to leave you to yourselves so you can relax in peace and quiet.
Head off to the coast and climb the coastal path to Pencannow Point, enjoying the most breathtaking of views, explore the sheltered bay at Crackington Haven perhaps enjoying a spot of lunch in the pub and take to the waves at Widemouth Bay – go on give it a go.
There are more beaches at the popular seaside resort of Bude along with canal trails, golf, tennis and a whole host of places to eat and drink. Head further south and the fishing villages of Boscastle and Port Isaac will delight and for further adventure there’s Arthurian legend on offer at Tintagel.
