TwinFaithfull Cottage is a welcoming retreat situated within two miles distance of St Helens village on the Isle of Wight, as well as a gorgeous beach, RSPB Nature Reserve and the village amenities. Lovingly kept, this cosy, comfortable mid-terrace cottage is ideal for families or friends seeking an island holiday.
Pretty front gardens welcome you to Faithfull Cottage and once inside you will find a charming sitting-room with a coal-effect electric fire. The kitchen/diner sits to the rear of the property overlooking the lovely back garden. This light and airy space is perfect for sociable dining where everyone can gather around the table and chat with the chef. The shower-room is on the ground floor, ideal for a refreshing shower after a busy beach day and a handy utility-room is home to the washing machine and counter top freezer.
Stairs lead from the kitchen/diner to the first floor (please note the stairs are narrow and steep) where you will find a comfy double bedroom and a twin room, ideal for either adults or children.
Outside, the rear garden lawn is the perfect place for the family dog and children to let off steam. The patio has outdoor furniture so you can sit and enjoy al fresco dining from dawn until dusk. Faithfull Cottage has all you need for a relaxing island break.
St Helens is a pretty village on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight with a selection of places to eat, a popular pub The Vine, and a village store for all your holiday essentials. Through pretty woodlands, St Helens Duver and the fabulous beach with the Baywatch cafe provides all your holiday beach treats such as ice creams and freshly brewed coffee. Should you decide to explore further afield, the gorgeous village of Seaview is just a five minute drive away. There are plenty of options for beaches and families will enjoy Seagrove Bay, a sheltered cove of sand and shingle at low tide, ideal for sandcastle building and rock pooling. A walk along the promenade from Seaview will take you to the eclectic town of Ryde with a good selection of shops and restaurants. A hovercraft runs from Ryde and can take you for a day out on the mainland, or perhaps catch the island train to explore further.
Bembridge is another pretty village just a five minute drive away. Home to the last surviving windmill on the island, you will also find some fabulous local shops including a fishmonger, bakery and florist. The butchers, Woodfords is renowned island wide for the best meats and there's a good selection of cafes and restaurants should you choose to dine out.
Travel along Military Road for stunning views along the coast and head for West Wight. Freshwater bay has crystal clear waters, coves and inlets, perfect for exploring by kayak or paddle board. The iconic Needles should also be on your list of things to do in the area, and you can take a chairlift to the beach and pick up a speed boat for an up and close view. Totland Bay is another beautiful part of the island and lunch at The Hut is the perfect seaside treat. However you plan to spend your time on the Isle of Wight, Faithfull Cottage is in the ideal location for all your island adventures.
