If the restorative power of the sea appeals to you, 1 Thatched Cottage with its uninterrupted views is an ideal holiday home. This 19th Century semi-detached property combines old world charm with plenty of modern conveniences. It is the ideal retreat for a couple looking for extra space but equally suitable for a small family.

An enclosed garden greets you upon arrival, and once you are through the entrance hall and into the open plan sitting/dining-room, the stunning views take centre stage.

Large, modern bi-fold doors lead out to a decked-area perfect for al fresco dining, star gazing or sunbathing. Along with a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom, the ground floor is inviting and light.

On the first floor you will find two good-sized bedrooms, one a double and the other a twin room. Simple, clean decor and comfortable bedding ensure that you enjoy a good night's sleep after an eventful day at the beach.

1 Thatched Cottage is just a five minute walk from the picture-postcard village of Seaview in the north eastern corner of the Island. Here you will find a well-stocked community shop, a seafront pub, chemist, Post Office, popular cafe and several other amenities.

Seagrove Bay is on your doorstep so you can look forward to beach barbecues that last long into the balmy evenings, as well as afternoons crabbing and swimming.

Walkers will be drawn to the paths and trails encompassing the countryside, woodland and coast that cross the island, if you are feeling more adventurous then Freshwater Bay is the ideal place to try out some water sports. You are spoilt for choice for places to visit - from Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House for those history buffs or the traditional seaside resorts of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor. A visit to the Island isn't complete without a visit to the iconic Needles followed by a drive along Military Road, there is always something to do come rain or shine.
