Seaview boasts some of the most stunning and tranquil beaches the island has to offer. Just a short stroll from 48 Solent View Road are Priory Bay and Seagrove Bay, both with soft golden sands and ideal conditions for swimming. During the summer these bays are perfect for beach barbecues, making it hard to call it a night when the balmy summer weather is on your side.

A leisurely 10 minute walk will bring you to the charming village of Seaview where you'll find several dining options, including the celebrated Seaview Hotel and the Old Fort pub. Popular Lily's Cafe, open year-round, has seating available indoors and out, and serves excellent coffee along with a tempting variety of breakfasts and lunches. For those who fancy a longer walk, the larger town of Ryde is about half an hour away along the promenade on a leisurely flat level. In Ryde, you will discover a wider array of restaurants, boutique shops and even a local cinema.

The Isle of Wight offers plenty to see and do, and its compact size means no destination is too far. Spend a day exploring the dramatic coastline on the island's western side, where scenic coastal walks await visitors of all ages. For thrill-seekers, the island is an ideal destination for watersports' enthusiasts with sandy shores and good waves during the right conditions. Step into the past aboard the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and enjoy the island's landscapes from a beautifully restored carriage. Shanklin is worth a visit too, with its charming thatched cottages, quirky high street shops and top events at the theatre. Families will love Shanklin's expansive golden beaches, perfect for sandcastle building and traditional seaside amusements providing hours of fun.
