TwinNestled at the end of a private lane with not a neighbour in sight, Yellow Blossom Cottage is a beautiful secluded 200 year old cottage offering a blend of timeless charm and modern comfort all set against the backdrop of St Michael's Mount.
Steeped in history and once part of a working farm, this cottage retains much of its original character and thick stone walls. With uninterrupted views from most windows, this truly is a place to appreciate an outstanding view. The sitting-room has it's original fireplace warming the home on chiller evenings. Sit back and relax to enjoy the truly magical location of this property. A newly fitted kitchen is bright and thoughtfully equipped with all the appliances, and leads into a separate dining-room ideal for family meals or slow breakfasts. Downstairs also features a bathroom with full size bath, perfect for soaks after long coastal walks.
Head up the steep stairs, there is a handrail to assist, the cottage offers four bedrooms, a tranquil double, a twin and two charming singles each with their own personality, soft linens and views of rolling fields and the shimmering sea. A new shower-room upstairs brings a fresh contemporary touch to this historic home. Your canine companion is welcome to join you and there are excellent walks from the front door.
You are very well placed to explore once settled in this rather lovely part of the country. Mousehole, a pretty little harbour village just a couple of miles away is full of traditional charm throughout the year but in particular comes alive during the festive season when it's annual Christmas light display is a feast for the eyes.
The Penzance promenade extends between Newlyn and Marazion and promises stunning views of Mounts Bay and the mightly St Michael's Mount. Stop along the way at Jubilee Pool, a rather fabulous original Art Deco lido and geothermal pool where you can bath in natural salt water heated to around 28 degrees.
Penzance is an interesting, eclectic town with many beautiful Regency and Georgian houses and fascinating old streets. Take a wander through the town to see the Egyptian House, sub-tropical Morrab Gardens and Penlee Park. With traditional and historic pubs, antique shops, cinema, cafes and restaurants, there is something for everyone here.
Beach seekers are truly spoilt for choice with numerous options available; Marazion, Sennen Cove, Treen, Carbis Bay, Lamorna Cove and St Ives to name but a few. Pack your picnic, windbreak, bucket and spade for a memorable day on the coast. West Cornwall has it all.
