Superb location and a wonderful host. The cottage had everything you could need for a self-catering stay be it spring, summer or winter. The horses added a charm that you will not experience anywhere else.

But also just as ideal to relax in the well-equipped lodge, enjoying the fabulous views and the comfort of the cottage. Perfect for serious foodie self-catering as well as within easy reach of good gastro pubs. Set up for comfort and a little bit of luxury as well as the practicalities of an active stay in the beautiful, if sometimes wet and muddy, Somerset area - certainly a place to return to ... many times....

fantastic location. wonderful views from the deck. watching the ponies coming down the hill into the stables every morning was a joy. great walking on the doorstep and a local pub serving great food. what more could you ask.

We had a fabulous week in perfectly equipped Bashford Lodge. The views are beautiful, the landscape of the quantock Hills is wonderful and you have lots of places to explore nearby. It is highly recommendable to go on a horse ride with the very friendly owners....
