The cottage was a bit bigger than it appeared on the photographs, which was nice. It was perfectly clean when we arrived. It was a superb location and very quiet, which we appreciated. Also lovely and cool on hot days as stone but I imagine gets pretty cold in winter. Sofas were big and comfy. We liked having big bath towels. Loved having the boot room area downstairs. It's such a great location, it was wonderful being able to walk out into the park anytime and stroll, sit under the trees, go down to the beach, up to the folly. We would have done more walks if it hadn't been so hot. The little book of history about Mount Edgcumbe and the walks was really good. The Farriers was excellent food, and we used their tables for dinner. On that - would be good to have some outside chairs in the cottage, a couple of deckchairs would be perfect....

Super place to stay

Fantastic location for our dog! Step out of your door into acres of land and wonderful walks from your doorstep to Cawsands and Kingsands.
Mrs Perrett October 2021
If you could perhaps advise future customers that torches are imperative as the surroundings are pitch black for late night walking back from the pub through the park especially if you have a dog!
