This beautiful cottage was the home of the Dorset novelist, Thomas Hardy and is one of a number of places to visit near Dorchester, that are connected to the author.
Dorset and Somerset have miles and miles of spectacular, undulating hills and country walks.

We had a brilliant week staying at The Old School Gables. It was comfortable, very clean and we settled in immediately. Lots of interesting places to visit and beautiful countryside all around. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. A car is a necessity here....
