This welcoming getaway is located just five miles from some of the best beaches in this beautiful part of Norfolk. This single-storey lodge, ideal for a family or couples, is only a short drive from the stunning coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea and the pretty hamlet of Wighton.

Sunrise Lodge is the perfect base from which to explore, whether you enjoy driving, cycling or walking as there is so much to see and do in the area. When you return tired from a day out, step into your comfortable and well-designed holiday home where the space is flooded with light coming through the floor to ceiling doors that lead out onto the shared and sheltered courtyard garden.

To one side of the living space is the well-equipped kitchen, ideal for cooking up a tasty holiday feast or a quick snack. With an abundance of fresh local produce available in farm shops and village stores, you will be spoiled for choice on what to eat tonight. Alternatively sit back and let someone else do the cooking and visit one of the local cafes, pubs or restaurants to enjoy freshly cooked and great tasting produce at its best, also someone else does the washing up!

The living-area, complete with Smart TV, is a great space for entertaining the young ones and young at heart, sit a while to plan the next day's adventures or to share the highlights of the day. Just off the living space you will find two bedrooms and a family bathroom; the larger double bedroom has a double and single bed perfect for families with a young child who needs to be close by. The second bedroom has twin beds and is just next door.

A must-see is a wander along the pathway alongside the stunning harbour, a working fishing port and popular with the sailing fraternity. After taking in the ever-changing views, you will soon meet the soft sandy beaches with picturesque colourful beach huts against a woodland backdrop. Kick off your shoes and feel the sand between your toes whilst enjoying the views of basking seals and the colourful sails of the boats passing by. Follow the sandy trail around to the soft dunes where you will find the stunning beaches of Holkham, you may even spot a member of the Royal family or two as they visit the area from their Royal Norfolk home.

All aboard for a big adventure on the world's smallest light railway. Start your journey at the seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea and enjoy a half hour trip passing through beautiful countryside whilst taking in the sounds and smells of old-time train travel. The thirty-minute journey ends at the beautiful Abbey village of Walsingham, an area with a history of religious pilgrimage since 1601 and home to the ruins of two medieval monastic houses, a fun trip for the whole family.

Just over a mile away is the friendly local pub The Carpenters Arms, here you can enjoy tasty dishes made from locally sourced ingredients and a welcoming atmosphere, great for foodies. Alternatively why not hire a bicycle from 'On Yer Bike' cycle hire located close by. The nearby hamlet of Stiffkey boasts a wonderful local shop, ideal for those essential provisions as well as a coffee shop; lookout for the seasonal foods as this area is notoriously popular with foodies!

The picturesque village of Blakeney must be your next stop, popular with sailors and families alike there is plenty to do with excellent spots for crabbing, so be sure to visit at the turn of the tide! Why not book a fabulous trip to see the seals, popular with guests of all ages. Sandringham House, the private country retreat to their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla is well worth a visit. Meander arounf the house and gardens and explore the Royal parkland and nature trails.

You can choose to holiday independently in Sunrise Lodge or if you wish to meet up with family or friends why not consider booking one of the two other lodges, Sunset Lodge (5528) and Sunnyside Lodge (5630) and enjoy making special memories together with three lodges to choose from. The lodges are all set back from a country lane with little traffic noise, apart from the odd tractor from the neighbouring farm or cyclist passing by. The area is a haven of wildlife with bird reserves at Blakeney Point and Titchwell Marsh, this is an ornithologists dream with its abundance of nature on your doorstep.
