Sennen Holiday Cottages
Throughout the year, Sennen is a popular spot to visit for guests and locals alike whether that's for surfing, sandcastles or storm watching; the ideal place for a family holiday to keep the kids entertained whatever the weather. Small boats still fish from the cove using lobster pots and handlines so get a taste of traditional Cornwall from a cosy spot above the shoreline. Our collection of cottages are the perfect base to start from.Read more
Sennen is the most westerly village in England, historically home to The First and Last Pub where smuggling stories go hand in hand with a good local ale. But you've come this far for the sea, no doubt. And Whitesand Bay, a mile long stretch of golden sand with plenty of rock pools at low tide, won't disappoint. If you're lucky, you might be able to pick up some hand caught bass or mackerel fresh off the boat or at the very least sample it pre-prepared in the local eateries - you'll taste the difference. Dogs are allowed during the quieter months but it's advisable to check as regulations differ from beach to beach.
Things to do in Sennen
The beach is definitely the main draw; so watersports abound. Learn to surf, paddleboard or bodyboard at Sennen surf school. Take to the sand on a kite board or stay sedately on the shoreline with your fishing line and spot dolphins in the Bay - a picture-postcard scene as the sun sets below the horizon. There's plenty of places to eat and they're all pretty good, what with the abundance of fresh seafood to hand, but there are lots of veggie and vegan options too - Vood Bar is totally vegan yet produces traditional Cornish food. The Old Success Inn, Little Bo Cafe and the Blue Lagoon fish & chip shop are all to hand, and Ben Tunnicliffe's Surf Beach Bar is right on the beach - do check seasonal opening times for all. We've tried and tested lots of things to do in the area - it's a great destination for all ages.
