Situated on the soutern shore of Loch Etive, Connel is a pretty village perfectly located for refreshments when exploring the area. Connel Bridge which spans the loch is worth a visit.

Open throughout the year (please check opening times on the website), Dunstaffnage Castle was built on an immense rock overlooking the Firth of Lorn and the remains still stand today.
Found in the village of Connel, The Oyster Inn is a charming pub, fondly known as "gluepot" by locals. The cosy bar is warmed by a real fire and summer drinks can be enjoyed in the beer garden. The restaurant serves locally sourced food and booking is advised.
Situated on the banks of the Firth of Lorn, Oban is a popular west coast town with a good selection of shops and activities including boat trips, heritage and Scotland's oldest distillery.
With stunning gardens, views over Loch Etive and monastic ruins, Ardchattan Priory is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
