KingNestled in a tranquil meadow on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Olive is a charming shepherd's hut, perfect for blissful days and star gazing nights surrounded by nature. For those seeking peace and tranquillity this really is just the place, whether you are looking for a solo retreat or a romantic escape for two.
Beautifully crafted and ideal for year-round getaways, Olive has all you need to recharge and relax. Step inside and you are welcomed by neutral, calming tones, gorgeous soft furnishings and luxurious bedding. The living space is cleverly created so you can sit on the comfy sofa and enjoy the views across the meadow and surrounding countryside. A wood burner will keep you cosy during cooler months and the small but perfectly formed kitchen area has all you'll need including an electric oven, hob and the all-important fridge with ice box. A stylish shower room can be found through the door.
When night falls a gorgeous king-size bed awaits, beautifully dressed and perfect for a restful night's sleep listening to the occasional hoot of an owl or bleat of a local sheep. And when dawn breaks, the dual windows offer a blissful view as the sun rises. Cleverly installed storage will provide ample space for your belongings.
Outside, Olive is simply delightful. The bathtub is perfect for relaxing under the stars, or perhaps you'd simply prefer to sit in the Devonshire sunshine and drink in the views. When night falls, light up the firepit and toast marshmallows, a sublime way to end the day.
With Dartmoor National Park on the doorstep, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring. Head for the magnificent wild open moorlands, home to rare wildlife and rich in history. With a myriad of trails and footpaths, walkers and cyclists will have endless fun here. The ancient stannary town of Tavistock is a short distance away, where you will find a fabulous collection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Tavistock is the only town in Devon to hold world heritage status and the pannier market is the perfect place to find unique gifts and treats.
Plymouth is not too far away, and this seafaring city has lots to offer including the beautiful Barbican and Royal William Yard with a great selection of cafes and restaurants. From here a selection of ferries ply the waters of the Sound so you can sail to Cremyll and spend the day exploring stunning Mount Edgecumbe Country House or head to the twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, gorgeous unspoilt seaside villages.
Whether you plan to spend your idyllic days relaxing close to home or explore further afield, a getaway at Olive will leave lasting memories you will want to repeat again and again.
