TwinNestled in the grounds of a gorgeous, secluded farm sits Horseshoe Cottage, a beautiful retreat full of traditional features that has a real sense of character to it. This getaway offers a wonderful place to return to after a day of adventures and, with enough beds for four, is the ideal spot for a family holiday to Devon.
The interior has a lovely, traditional feel to it, with gorgeous wooden beams and exposed brick giving the whole cottage a cosy feel. A wood-burner and under-floor heating ensure that Horseshoe Cottage is always warm and welcoming, whatever the season or weather. There's also plenty of entertainment on offer, with a TV, DVD player and CD player in the sitting-room.
Next door, you'll find a well-fitted kitchen complete with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A homely wooden dining-table sits in the corner, making this the perfect place to enjoy sociable family evenings while dinner is being prepared. You will also find a handy cloakroom on this floor.
Upstairs you'll find the two fabulous bedrooms. An inviting double bed sits in the centre of bedroom one, which is light and airy. There's also plenty of storage provided for all of your holiday essentials.
A second charming bedroom houses two single beds that are perfect for little ones to rest their weary heads after a day of adventures and down the hall sits the family bathroom complete with an inviting bath and shower.
Outside you'll find plenty of places to enjoy the gorgeous Devon sunshine with a beautiful courtyard housing the fantastic communal garden. Here you will find a beautiful log-burner and seating area, perfect for those summer evenings whilst the children play with the guests staying at Fig Tree Cottage. There's also delightful seating outside your front door, nestled underneath a gorgeous old tree and providing the perfect place to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.
Tuell Farm is an undiscovered rural haven of peace nestling in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are 28 acres to explore on this tranquil farm with Grey Face Dartmoor sheep, cattle, free-range chickens and the ponies Princess and Poppy. Fig Tree Cottage (2347) is next door and is connected by a fully secured and soundproofed interconnecting door meaning your privacy is ensured.
The farm is also close to the village of Milton Abbot should you need any groceries or fancy a bite to eat. Dartmoor is just down the road, and both north and south coasts are within easy driving distance. The nearby market town of Tavistock has a pannier market and interesting shops, and activities close by include canoeing, cycling and the latest craze of tree surfing.
