Zip and linkFor those looking for a peaceful and calming cottage then look no further than Farm Cottage, it's set in the delightful grounds of the owners' home and has been furnished with care and attention to detail. It has the added benefit of access to the indoor swimming pool and shower/steam room, which can be booked for your private use during your stay - at no extra cost!
This pretty stone cottage makes an ideal getaway for those wanting to explore the island. With glorious countryside on the doorstep and the coast close by, you will be sure to make plenty of memories together.
Inside the open plan living space comprises a well-equipped kitchen-area which is open to the sitting-area making it a lovely sociable space to enjoy, the chef in the group won't be lonely as he or she cooks up a storm in the kitchen. This room in winter is made cosy by the welcome addition of a wood-burner, great for curling up in front of after a day spent exploring. In those summer evenings open the stable-door and enjoy your private outside space, this sunny spot is ideal for some al fresco dining with a barbecue to use.
Upstairs both the bedrooms can be set as either super-king doubles or twin beds (please specify at the point of booking). Although both rooms are comfy please mind your heads on the sloping ceilings. The front bedroom has far reaching views over the valley - from here you can appreciate the sunsets in summer and enjoy the stars as Farm Cottage is set in a Dark Sky protected area. Both rooms have the benefit of an en suite - one with an en suite shower-room and the other with an en suite bathroom.
Guests can take advantage of the indoor swimming pool and shower/steam room, shared with the owners and guests at two other holiday properties. You can book private use of the pool - between the hours of 8am and 8pm - for an hour's visit. However, please note, these facilities are closed annually for maintenance, from 1 January to 14 February.
Your four-legged friends go free - there is a handy two-acre walking field on the site and with plenty of footpaths close by they will be sure to enjoy the holiday just as much as you!
Once you book, the owner will be in touch to discuss their generous 40% ferry discount with you.
There is plenty to do and see close by, from a walk to St Catherine's Lighthouse or a trip into Ventnor, where you can buy fresh fish at Ventnor Haven Fishery to enjoy. The Botanical Gardens make for a relaxing place to explore.
You are spoilt for choice for things to do across the Island. The drive along Military Road is breathtaking, stop off for a spot of water sports at Freshwater Bay or head to the Needles - a must for anyone visiting the island.
