This luxurious conversion of an old stable building is set in the heart of the pretty village of Fangfoss, on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds with a local pub within walking distance and about ten miles from the historic and cultural city of York.

Created from former stables with a keen eye for detail by the owners who had great enjoyment in the renovation, especially in their use of reclaimed wood and beams, this three bedroom, three bath/shower room property has been beautifully transformed to offer plenty of space for family and friends.

Inside Bricknell Barn you will find a light and airy open plan living space with beams, squashy sofas to relax and hunker down after a day's adventures, a Smart TV for family film nights and lovely views over the patio. The spacious contemporary designed kitchen is just the place to whip up delicious meals with local ingredients you've found from the many wonderful artisan producers in York.

When bedtime beckons the bedrooms will delight you, two have indulgent free-standing feature bathtubs and one has a large shower cubicle with a rain head shower. All have king-size beds with crisp white linens, fluffy pillows and wall mounted Smart TVs.

Venture outside and you will find a large private courtyard bordered by flowering cherry, jasmine and laurel and an amazing wisteria which flowers wildly in season. On a sunny morning or balmy evening sit outside and share an al fresco meal, listen to the birds and catch up with family and friends.

Adults and children will all love the shared games-room set in a separate barn with table-football, 7' pool table, air hockey and full-size table-tennis table, games nights are a must.

The Yorkshire Wolds are a great place for cyclists, ramblers, city lovers or seaside beach worshippers to explore the beautiful countryside. Bricknell Barn is set within a group of cottages on a former award-winning farm which bred a renowned Holstein herd. There are acres of land to walk in right from your front door.

This gorgeous property offers you relaxation in a rustic yet contemporary setting, a perfect base to begin your Yorkshire adventures.

Fangfoss is set in the Yorkshire Wolds with its wide-open spaces, amazing landscapes and stunning wildlife. From historical sites and glorious gardens to the long sandy coastline, there is something for everyone in this beautiful part of Yorkshire. Start with a challenging walk along the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail from Hessle to Filey, you don't have to do all 79 miles!

The wonderful city of York is close by and has so much to offer. Visit the National Railway Museum and walk the city walls giving you great views of the bustling city within. Climb Clifford's Tower or see the many museums, art galleries and exhibitions, York Minster is an impressive sight. Wander round the labyrinth of medieval streets, some now of Harry Potter fame. Eat at buzzing bistros, have a cake at world renowned Betty's Tea Room or treat yourself to a Michelin starred feast at Roots by Tommy Banks.

There are parks a plenty to relax in; Deans Park, by the Minster, and the Yorkshire Museum Gardens by the river Ouse.

The seaside towns of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby are perfect for a day out on the sandy beaches, eat fish and chips, visit Whitby Abbey high on the clifftops, search for fossils or whale watch. The Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors are just the place for cyclists and walkers and what's more, it really is an all year round destination, summer days can be spent enjoying walks on the hills and dales and on long sandy beaches and as the autumn draws in, York becomes a city of twinkling shop fronts enticing you in with renowned Yorkshire hospitality.
