Choose this gorgeous, colonial-style beach house just yards from the enchanting sheltered cove at Cwm yr Eglws for your next break. Sitting above the hamlet, in a tranquil location, enjoy the never-ending sea views across Cwm yr Eglws, encompassing the derelict St Brynach's Church on the sea front, the rest was washed away in an enormous storm. The far-reaching views stretch across the dramatic Pembrokeshire coastline to Fishguard Bay, Newport and beyond. Stroll to the sandy, sheltered beach in minutes, soak up the sea air, rolling surf and the sound of the sea, where the rock pools are waiting to be explored.

Recently refurbished, the stylish furnishings, calming pastel blue hues and warm vibe are perfect for an unforgettable coastal getaway.

The light and airy open plan design creates the perfect space for fun family and friends get togethers. Relax in the sitting-room, taking in the ocean views. On chillier days take glorious time out in the glow of the cosy wood-burner. Sink into the large sofas and watch a movie together or play board games around the large dining-table, which overlooks the sea. This is the perfect spot to enjoy unhurried dinners after a day of exploring and splashing in the surf. Star gaze in the clear moonlit sky on the decked area just off the sitting-room. This is the irresistible place for holiday breakfasts or peaceful time out with a good book. The well-equipped kitchen has it all for tasty holiday meals or why not treat everyone to the many excellent eateries in the area. For fish and chips choose the Old Sailors Inn, almost on the beach at Pwllgwaelod. For the freshest local produce visit the farmers markets and farm shops in the area. Delicious milkshakes and fresh farm milk can be bought just up the road. Look out for the strawberry cow.

The well-appointed bedrooms offer comfortable beds and quality linens for the perfect night's sleep. Tastefully furnished, there are two double rooms with king-size beds, a sweet twin room and a fourth room with a cabin bed (for children up to the age of 14 years old only), which are all close to the family bathroom and separate shower-room. As well as the decked area to the rear of the cottage, there is a large paved area to the front with garden furniture. A sun-trap for sun lovers.

There's lots to do beyond this magical hamlet if you can pull yourself away. For walkers the majestic Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be accessed. From the cottage walk around Dinas Head, which has been voted the AA's Walk of the Year, or through pretty woodland behind the headland, magical Pwllgwaelod is just half a mile away. There's the stunning Parrog Beach at Newport. For dinner try Llys Meddyg or a delicious lunch at Blas at Fronlas. Just up the road is the historical town of Fishguard in the opposite direction. Near there, children love Goodwick beach and the park or even catch the ferry for a day trip to Ireland. For rainy days, Fishguard has a cinema, Theatre Gwaun. Look out too, for the international Music Festivals. The Abergwaun comes highly recommended for dinner or the Old Oak for good pub food. A little further away, St Davids and its magnificent cathedral are well worth a visit. For family days try the Iron Age fort at Castell Henllys, the Shire Horse Farm or a memorable boat trip to spot the local sea life, including dolphins, especially from New Quay or St Davids. For beach days or bracing walks depending on the season, there are lots to choose from in the area. Whitesands and Newgale are popular with both surfers and families alike. You may like to try coasteering in the area.

For local shopping there is a well-stocked shop in the garage at Dinas Cross, which also sells logs. For larger supermarkets, Fishguard has a Co-op and CK supermarket.

Penmorfa offers the perfect getaway for a coastal break. An appealing cottage nestling in a spellbinding position, just yards from the idyllic sandy cove. It's a boaters', kayakers', swimmers', canoeists', walkers' and beach lovers' paradise. The dog will have fun here too. Throughout all seasons this dreamy corner of Pembrokeshire promises a perfect getaway.
