TwinCome and escape to the peaceful bliss of our country hideaway. This charming cottage can be found within the beautiful grounds of Tredethy House, yet with easy access to the clifftop walks, stunning beaches and coastal towns and villages along the Atlantic coast, it's the perfect base for a wonderful holiday in north Cornwall.
From its humble origins as the original laundry for the main house, the owners have lovingly transformed it into a charming cottage and they welcome you to immerse yourself in life at Tredethy, their little piece of heaven on earth. Take time out to explore their historic woodlands and large garden, an idyllic spot for a game of giant chess, French cricket or simply relaxing with a good book soaking in the beautiful sights and sounds that surround. It's what holidays are made for!
Set within the courtyard behind the main house, step inside and the open plan living-room awaits, providing plenty of room for all but most importantly, the chance to enjoy special times together. The little terrace is just the place for a wake-me-up cuppa or an evening sundowner, gazing up to star studded skies above. And when night time arrives, the super comfy beds will soon have you dropping off into the land of nod, as you listen out for the owls making their night time calls.
The Garden Lodge (5248) is also available as a holiday cottage at Tredethy, ideal if friends and family want to join you.
You'll have the perfect blend of country and coast at Laundry Cottage. With Bodmin Moor on your doorstep, you can don your walking boots and explore the many footpaths that criss-cross the wide open spaces of this dramatic landscape, with that all-important pitstop at a moorland village pub for refuelling.
The start of the Camel Trail is close by, so hire some bicycles and wind your way through shady woodlands and along the beautiful Camel Estuary out to Cornwall's culinary capital Padstow on the coast.
The pretty coastal village of Port Isaac, known as the home of TV's Doc Martin, The Fisherman's Friends and celebrity chef Nathan Outlaw is well worth a visit and for those wanting to catch a wave or two Polzeath and Trebarwith Strand will truly delight.
History buffs will love the grand houses at Pencarrow and Lanhydrock along with Tintagel Castle, steeped in Arthurian legend and here the coastal path will delight ramblers as it showcases the stunning Atlantic coastline at its very best.
