A few minutes' walk from the beach, nestled in the tranquil and peaceful setting of Welcombe on the north Devon coastline and newly available, you will discover this delightful semi-detached cottage. Hidden away in a peaceful valley and furnished and styled to provide the perfect escape for a couple or small family.

From the moment you arrive at Strawberry Water Cottage, you can start to relax and unwind in the peaceful and tranquil location. Situated a stone's throw away from Welcombe Mouth beach and miles and miles of glorious coast paths to explore, you really can enjoy the great outdoors right from your doorstep.

The cottage has been sympathetically restored and styled for your comfort throughout. The cosy sitting-room has two comfy sofas to relax in, a Smart TV and a warming wood-burner for those cooler days and evenings, making this the ideal year-round destination. The well-equipped kitchen, with that all-important slimline dishwasher, looks out to the rear of the cottage over expansive gardens. This lovely kitchen has been lovingly crafted to fit the original character walls and to complement the fabulous, reclaimed flagstone floors, adding charm to this cute cottage hideaway. The bright conservatory offers dining with the most perfect view of the garden and surrounding valley to the rear of the cottage, along with your own dedicated rear patio. Please note that the main back garden belongs to neighbouring Strawberry Water House (5321).

Step outside to the front of the cottage and you will be surrounded by a tranquil setting - a nature lover's paradise, as well as your own front patio area with barbecue, perfect for al fresco dining after enjoying a day at the beach or exploring further afield.

Climb the stairs to the first floor and you will find two charming bedrooms and the family bathroom. There is a step up into the bedrooms and bathroom so please take care. Bedroom one has a gorgeous feature king-size bed complemented by crisp fresh linens and an ornamental fireplace with a reading corner and views over the gardens and stream. Bedroom two is small but perfectly formed three-foot single room, ideal for either children or an adult with views out to the back of the cottage and surrounding hills. The stylish bathroom is small and compact. Please note that the sloping ceiling will limit those taller guests when using the fitted shower over the bath which you need to step into.

You may decide to spend your days enjoying your peaceful surroundings and the many countryside walks from the doorstep and of course Welcombe Mouth beach which is renowned for its sunsets, stunning waterfall and rock pools. However, should you wish to explore further, north Devon boasts the most beautiful seascapes and countryside with hidden coves, sandy beaches and rolling landscapes just waiting to be discovered. Hartland Point is a short drive away with its iconic white lighthouse and Hartland Abbey, famous as a backdrop for many period dramas, or step back in time and enjoy a family day discovering Clovelly!

Two pubs that come highly recommended are The Old Smithy with a garden and terrace which is an uphill walk from the cottage, but downhill on the way back! The second being The Farmers Arms in the heart of Woolsery village, and here you will also find a fish and chip shop. If you fancy taking home a local souvenir then you will enjoy heading over to Welcombe Pottery!

Take a boat trip to Lundy Island from Bideford Quay, a bird spotter's paradise, or perhaps a visit to Bude is in order, where the beaches are stunning, you can even book a surf lesson with plenty of shops offering hire equipment for the day or week. Also within a short drive is Westward Ho! with its mile of flat sandy beach at low tide; why not book a few surf lessons here, or maybe take a dip in the tidal pool; great fun for all the family.

The twin villages of Instow and Appledore should be on your 'to do' list and you can catch the passenger ferry between the two.

And after a busy day what a treat to return to the peace and tranquility of Strawberry Water, the perfect backdrop for a wonderful holiday.
