TwinHidden away in the peaceful rural hamlet of Eastcott, within striking distance of the north Cornish coast and the Devon and Cornwall border, charming Eastcott Cottage is the finest choice for those seeking the perfect blend of country and coastal life. Wonderfully welcoming, the cottage is beautifully presented, cleverly combining traditional character and charm with modern day style and flair.
The country kitchen/dining-room, complete with warming Rayburn (an electric hob is also provided), is the ideal gathering place and the lovely sunny garden beckons you outside to enjoy fun and games or simply the chance to chill out and relax after a day of adventures in this glorious part of the south west!
At the heart of country life, Eastcott Cottage backs onto a small working farmyard where in the winter months you might be lucky and get a glimpse of the animals being fed. This is a great house for family and friends holidaying together.
On the ground floor the back hallway and utility-room provide plenty of space for all that additional holiday kit and the adjoining shower-room means you can rinse off straight away after a day on the beach. The kitchen/dining-room with Belfast sink, painted cupboards, Rayburn and farmhouse table perfectly complements the cottage and the comfy sitting-room area with its fabulous open fire leads through to another sitting-room with TV meaning you can all be together whilst enjoying some of your own space. Upstairs the principal bedroom is a triumph with its stylish en suite and the three further bedrooms are utterly delightful and do not miss out, with an equally impressive family bathroom.
Beach days are a shoo-in whilst at Eastcott Cottage, with rock pools to discover at Duckpool Beach, sandcastles to be built at Sandymouth Bay and Atlantic rollers to be ridden at Widemouth Bay.
Ramblers can take to the coastal footpath, look out for Hawker's Hut, the National Trust's smallest property, or spend time at the Marsland Valley Nature reserve where woodlands and wild meadows await. Take a trip into Bude, and soak up the nostalgia of this traditional seaside town or why not pop into Devon and visit the historic village of Clovelly, famous for its steep cobbled street.
And after a busy day what a treat to return to the peace and tranquility of Eastcott Cottage, the perfect backdrop for a wonderful holiday.
