Perfectly situated on the outskirts of Veryan, described as the loveliest inland village in Cornwall, Laburnum Cottage is a gorgeous traditional Cornish cottage, lovingly restored and just a short distance away from the many beautiful beaches and pretty fishing villages of the Roseland peninsula.

Through wooded valleys and lush green countryside with sea glimpses in the distance, your holiday really begins as you travel through the Roseland. There are five unique thatched Round Houses which welcome you into the village of Veryan and the hamlet of Veryan Green is a short stroll from the centre. With gorgeous Pendower and Carne beaches close by, walks galore for you and the family dogs to enjoy and the delights of the Roseland on your doorstep, this is the perfect location for a family holiday or a group of friends looking for a Cornish escape.

From the moment you arrive at Laburnum Cottage you will feel totally at home in this wonderful Cornish abode. The two cosy sitting-rooms are delightful with traditional beamed ceilings and gorgeous slate floors throughout. Both have the luxury of warming wood-burners to keep you cosy throughout the year and if guests have differing choices of TV viewing, both have a Smart TV so no arguing over the remote here! The kitchen is charming, with all the equipment you will need including a fabulous electric range cooker. The kitchen/diner is L-shaped, ideal for sociable dining after a busy day.

The stairs to the first floor are steep as is typical in traditional Cornish cottages so please take care. The three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, are adorned with pretty linens for a great night's sleep with bedroom one having an en suite shower-room and the others facilitated by a family bathroom.

Outside to the front, a handy bench provides the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by with your morning coffee and to the rear you will find a secluded patio where you can sit and dine al fresco from dawn until dusk.

Veryan is a charming village with everything you need close by. The friendly New Inn is a short stroll away and the stunning beaches of Pendower and Carne within easy reach. The Roseland peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (also known as National Landscapes) and you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful countryside and coastline on your holiday here. Walkers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring. The coast path encompasses the Roseland so you can walk either east or west to discover secret coves, hidden beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Should you decide to take the car out, Portscatho is a short journey away, a delightful unspoilt village with a pretty harbour and good selection of shops. Top tip, for your morning coffee and fresh pastries with a view, head to Tatams overlooking the bay and for lunch or dinner try Tavola where you can dine in or take away your pizza. Stroll along the coast path and you will discover the Hidden Hut, a magical place overlooking Porthcurnick beach where guests sit side by side on wooden benches enjoying the freshest of local produce.

If you are in search of a farm shop, Curgurrell is close by, offering a great choice of fresh fish, meats, homegrown vegetables, local baked goods and dairy products.

The vibrant village St Mawes is not far away and here you will find a great selection of eateries, from fine dining to fish and chips out of the paper on the seawall, ideal if the chef wants a night off! The passenger ferry runs from the harbourside where you sail across the Carrick Roads to the maritime town of Falmouth, steeped in history and a great place to explore.

Whether you plan to spend your days relaxing in your charming cottage or head further afield, a holiday at Laburnum Cottage will be one to remember.
