An open plan living space provides the perfect place to unwind after a busy day out exploring with a Smart TV offering up plenty of entertainment, its own Netflix account and superfast broadband as well as a wood-burner to keep you nice and cosy. The space itself is fabulously decorated, with an exposed stone wall, statement rug and tiled flooring giving the room a rustic charm that complements its modern luxuries.

At the rear of the space, you'll find the modern kitchen, complete with gorgeous pastel fittings, and everything you will need to cook up a storm while you're on holiday, not forgetting the Nespresso machine for delicious morning coffees and the slimline wine chiller for crisp, chilled wines. The dining-table is tucked in the corner of the room, perfect for an intimate meal for two.

Venture upstairs and you'll discover the bedroom which has plenty of storage space for all of your holiday essentials. At the centre of the room sits an indulgent king-size bed topped with plush cushions and crisp cotton bedding that ensures a great night's sleep not forgetting the Simba hybrid mattress and duvet. Natural light floods into the space, keeping it bright and airy, while the room is finished with gorgeous furnishings. Next door sits a superb en suite bathroom complete with Bramley products, a large shower and a fabulous bathtub, ideal for those relaxing nights in. Outside, the enclosed raised deck is the perfect place to soak up the fantastic Devon sunshine while a marvellous private and exclusive hot tub sits just round the corner, set in an enclosed courtyard to ensure your privacy. The charming outside seating area and handy barbecue make al fresco dining an absolute dream. The owners have worked hard to ensure that Great Eckworthy is wildlife-friendly whilst continuing to uphold the Devon traditions of steeping (hedge laying), banking and stone walling.

If you're dreaming of a holiday with a bigger party don't worry, as The Cottage shares the site with the charming Great Eckworthy - The Barn (4942) and Great Eckworthy - The Granary (4993), meaning you can book all three and enjoy a fabulous holiday with your own space to retreat to if you so desire. The cottage itself is semi-detached to the owner's house next door and they are happy to help wherever they can but will always respect your privacy.
