If you love the sound of birdsong and a wonderfully peaceful rural location, Barn Owl Cottage is the perfect holiday home for you. Wind your way along the country lane that leads you to this charming semi-detached retreat yet with the beaches and coast just over a mile away an escape to Barn Owl Cottage really does offer the very best of both worlds.

Much thought has been given to the quality, furnishing and decor throughout, with the owner cleverly combining a mixture of old and new finds to create wonderful relaxing interiors that perfectly complement the gorgeous setting. And what a setting it is. Your private terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or lunch cooked up on the barbecue and the gardens are simply glorious with a large lawned area, play area, wildflower meadow and little orchard and plenty of places to sit out and enjoy the peace and beauty that surrounds. The gardens are shared with the neighbouring cottage Bumblebee Cottage (5016), ideal if you have friends who want to join you on holiday, but there is plenty of room for you to find your own private space.

You are sure to embrace coastal life whilst holidaying at Barn Owl Cottage. The nearby beaches at Seaton and Downderry are great for bathing, snorkelling, kayaking and dog walking too being dog-friendly all year round and they also have a choice of places to eat out plus a little shop to stock up on those everyday provisions. The beautiful riverside pathways of Seaton Countryside Park will delight the ramblers amongst you as will the South West Coast Path that provides awe inspiring views in every direction.

The traditional seaside and fishing town of Looe has a real sense of nostalgia about it with its bustling harbour, banjo pier, seaside shops and plenty of fish and chips to takeaway - you might fancy joining one of the fishing trips from the harbour and trying to catch some yourself and take back to Barn Owl Cottage to cook up on the barbecue.

You can visit the primates being cared for at the Wild Future Monkey Sanctuary and adrenalin junkies will get their thrills at Adrenalin Quarry where you can have fun in the aquapark, slide down the zip wire, ride the go-karts or be a big kid on the UK's largest swing.

A visit to the charming fishing village of Polperro is highly recommended, you will feel as if you have stepped back in time with the higgledy-piggledy cottages that line the narrow streets, popular with artists and many galleries selling their masterpieces, and for more history, the large houses and glorious gardens Antony (National Trust) and Mount Edgcumbe should be on your list.
