With panoramic views across the rolling hills, gentle forests, and gorgeous coastline of the 'forgotten corner' of Cornwall, this luxurious converted barn is an ideal place to call home as you explore the area. Old Treboul Barn started its new life as part of an ancient, ruined farmstead that has, over the last few years, been carefully rebuilt into an idyllic holiday home that combines modern interiors and eco credentials such as solar panels and a ground source heating with echoes of the barn's previous life giving the retreat a lovely sense of history. The discreet yet helpful owners live in the farmhouse on site with their beautiful dog but as with everything the barn has been positioned to offer the utmost privacy.

Enter the barn and you will be greeted with light and spacious interiors that are equipped with the luxuries of modern life while still maintaining a charming, homely feel. Enjoy the warm glow of the wood-burning stove from the comfort of the generous sofas in the inviting sitting-room. A sleek Smart TV sits in the corner of the room providing great entertainment for those relaxing nights in. Or simply enjoy views out across the valley with a cup of rich coffee as the sun rises.

Along the hall sits the wonderful modern kitchen. Here you will find everything you'll need to cook up a storm on your holiday, with an induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher dotted around the kitchen. Open the fabulous bi-folding doors and enjoy the crisp Cornish breeze as you settle down for dinner on the delightful wooden dining-table. A handy utility-room and cloakroom are also located on the ground floor.

Upstairs you will find two gorgeous bedrooms that offer plenty of places to relax. Sink into the plush bedding of bedroom one's indulgent king-size bed or enjoy a warming cup of tea on the delightful sofa perched at the end of the room. The bedroom also comes equipped with an excellent en suite shower-room. A modern chandelier hangs in the centre of the wonderful twin room with eye catching art on the walls, which also comes complete with two inviting armchairs perched either side of the fabulous window offering great views across the valley. The main bathroom sits off the landing offering a bath with fitted shower, the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring this enchanting part of the world.

Outside, the south-facing garden has the sun all day, and is terraced with rockeries and meadow grass. There is a large well-equipped patio, and a summer-house - designed to make the most of the stunning views. To encourage wildlife, the owners have installed bird boxes, and the garden and surrounding meadows have recently been planted with wildflowers - sure to provide quite the spectacle once in bloom! Settle back and watch the buzzards and kites soaring overhead during the day and enjoy some spectacular sunsets and starry skies as the backdrop to your evening barbecue. When it comes to peace and quiet then Old Treboul delivers.

For getting out and about, Old Treboul Barn is just a mile from the old quay, viaduct and railway station at St Germans. From here you can take a train trip west across the spectacular viaducts of the old Cornish main line to Penzance or St Ives, or a short hop of 15 minutes into the centre of Plymouth. The Barn is just over three miles from the sandy beaches and clifftop walking at Portwrinkle, and the Rame peninsula just beyond. Head over to the pretty seaside town of Looe or explore the many spectacular sections of the coast path between Fowey and Cremyll.
