Octopus House is a gorgeous contemporary holiday home, perfectly situated in beautiful unspoilt St Mawes on the Roseland peninsula, just a short stroll from the bustling harbour and many beautiful beaches. With miles of peaceful countryside, hidden coves and stunning sandy beaches, the Roseland peninsula remains one of the most sought-after parts of Cornwall, perfect for family holidays or a group of friends looking for a getaway. Memories of a holiday here will last forever!

Octopus House is blessed with parking for two cars which is easily accessible and accommodates two large/SUV style cars - a rare find in these parts and peace of mind for all. From the parking area, a short flight of stairs lead down to the front door of Octopus House, with a separate outside staircase to the garden area. From the moment you open the front door this stunningly beautiful home will captivate. Furnished with exquisite taste, the living area is spacious and bright with a nautical theme throughout. The kitchen in pastel grey shades has all you need to cook up a holiday feast so why not stock up on fish freshly landed at the harbour and Cornish produce at its best from one of many roadside stalls. Guests can sit around the dining-table and chat with the nominated chef whilst supper is prepared. The sitting-area has super comfy sofas which invite you to kick back and relax after a hard day on the beach! Two lovely easy chairs sit in the bay window, the perfect spot for a quiet moment gazing out over the decked area towards the harbour.

Downstairs on the lower ground floor three fabulous bedrooms await, each one beautifully furnished in soft pastel shades and with super luxury linens for a great night's sleep. Bedroom two has a dreamy super-king bed and direct access to the decked area outside, the perfect place to sit and listen to birdsong with an early morning cup of tea or coffee. The en suite to bedroom two has a fabulous rainfall shower, ideal after a day on the beach. Both bedrooms three and four are twin bedrooms, all with three-foot beds so perfect for either children or adults alike. The family bathroom has a bath for a long soak. Bedroom one is tucked away up on the first floor and has a lovely en suite and king-size bed, a sofa provides a quiet space for holiday reading. The outside space at Octopus House is heavenly, with both a large corner seating area and a dining-table for when an al fresco meal is planned, a short flight of steps lead down to a lawned area where children can play. Situated in a peaceful residential area with an abundance of trees, palms and shrubs, many a happy hour can be spent here.

Octopus House is a short five-minute downhill walk down to the beautiful harbour and village centre, however the walk back up may take a little longer due to the steep hill!

The Roseland peninsula is the perfect place to experience Cornwall at its best. With beautiful verdant countryside, gorgeous sandy beaches and hidden coves, walkers will fall in love with the miles of coast path. St Mawes is a vibrant harbourside village with everything you will need for a great holiday and ideal for a car-free break. Perhaps fish and chips are in order, sitting on the seawall checking out the sailing boats or watching the passenger ferry travel to Falmouth. You will also find a great selection of inns and some fabulous waterside restaurants for fine dining; the choice will not disappoint. Families will enjoy beach days, building sandcastles and rock pooling, and for the more adventurous paddle boarding and kayaking along the Carrick Roads should not be missed. Should you wish to travel a little further then Portscatho is a short journey away and home to beautiful beaches and the renowned Hidden Hut where guests sit side by side on wooden benches and enjoy the freshest of seafood culinary delights (booking is essential for feast nights). The Eden Project with its mighty biomes should be on your 'to do' list and also The Lost Gardens of Heligan, undiscovered for over 30 years and now lovingly restored to their former glory.

However you plan your days, whether out adventuring or sitting on the deck enjoying the sun, a holiday at Octopus House will be on your wish list every year.
