Not only are you within 150 yards from Exmouth's long sandy beach, only ten miles downstream you have the fabulous Cathedral City of Exeter, perfect for a day shopping. Or perhaps a change of beach scenery is required, if so the beautiful town of Budleigh Salterton is only five miles away; another great day out at the beach awaits at this charming seaside town.

Exmouth is such a popular coastal town, not only for the attractions and hotspots it offers, it also makes exploring the glorious east Devon coastline a real pleasure. Along the coast, you will be greeted by millions of years of geological history. The vibrant red cliffs are home to rocks that are older than any on the Jurassic Coast.
However, if fossil hunting along the magnificent Jurassic Coast is what you seek, a short car journey will find you in the heart of the Jurassic Coast and all the wonders it holds.
A pleasurable car journey will also find you in the heart of the fabulous regency town of Sidmouth. This stunning town has a beautiful seafront, magnificent red cliffs and lots of independent shops, tea shops, restaurants and pubs, not forgetting Jacobs Ladder.
A similar car journey will deliver you to the doorstep of the exceptionally popular city of Exeter, a fabulous day out for both young and old; here you can explore 2000 years of history, with Roman walls, underground passages, the historic quayside and great shopping. If you are feeling energetic the Exe Estuary Trail can be enjoyed on foot or by bicycle, a 26 mile flat route which links Exmouth, Exeter and Dawlish, with some fabulous views along the way.
