DoubleIn an idyllic setting, located down a quiet country lane, only a few miles from some of Cornwall's finest beaches along with the pretty fishing harbour of Port Isaac, this exceptional holiday cottage is the perfect base for a wonderful holiday in Cornwall.
Much thought has been given to the quality, furnishing and decor throughout this reversed level barn conversion by the welcoming yet discreet owners who live in the lovely farmhouse.
The open plan first floor living-room with soaring vaulted ceiling, wooden floors, stylish kitchen and comfortable seating, enjoys views over the terrace area from the large picture window. The oak-framed entrance hall acts as a conservatory so you can enjoy the wonderful setting anytime of the year.
The two bedrooms have the most comfy of beds, adorned with crisp linens, soft throws and plump cushions and both have patio doors leading out to the lower terrace area - an ideal spot for morning coffee or a late evening drink before you snuggle up in bed for the night. The second bedroom enjoys a stylish en suite bathroom, accessed through a very useful utility-room, and a further shower-room sits next to bedroom one. Children will love the lawned area for playing games whilst older members of the group may simply choose to lounge in the sun or enjoy afternoon tea on the patio - country living doesn't get much better than this.
Daybreak Cottage also shares this wonderful location with Daydream Cottage (2066) making this an ideal spot for families and friends to holiday together. Each cottage enjoys its own privacy and space and guests are also encouraged to make full use of the owner's large lawned area where you will see the most glorious of sunsets.
From this countryside location getting out and about just couldn't be easier. The beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay are only a short drive away and there are Atlantic Ocean seascapes to discover from the clifftops along the coastal footpath. The pretty coastal villages of Port Isaac and Boscastle with their narrow streets, lined with fishermen's cottages, are a delight and you will marvel at the majestic setting of King Arthur's castle at Tintagel. Take the foot ferry from Rock over to popular Padstow to browse amongst the shops and galleries, take a boat trip, or indulge yourself at one of Rick Stein's many eateries.
The start of the Camel Trail is close by so why not resort to pedal power as you wind your way along the renowned cycle trail - perhaps enjoying a hearty breakfast at the Snail's Pace cafe before you set off - and for more cycling the trails at the National Trust's Lanhydrock Estate are proving to be quite a hit; whilst you are there take the opportunity to wander through the gardens and the historic house.
This area has an abundance of great farm shops and cafes to tempt you to locally-sourced food and produce, and the foodie pubs at St Kew and St Tudy are well worth a visit - well after all that outdoor adventure you are sure to work up an appetite!
