Fabulous, uninterrupted views across the expanse of Falmouth Bay are guaranteed from the open plan living-room and balcony of this outstanding third floor penthouse.

Just seconds away from Gyllyngvase beach and its renowned cafe/restaurant, Gylly Sunrise is superbly located in the middle of Falmouth seafront, offering grandstand views of the morning sun rising over the bay. Perfect for walking the coastal footpath or kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing lessons from the beach, Gylly Sunrise is a wonderful holiday retreat.

Set on the top floor of The Strand, Gylly Sunrise is accessed by a lift that arrives straight into its own private lobby. The open plan living-room has high vaulted ceilings and floor-length windows looking out at the view - the owner has removed the curtains to enhance this incredible outlook but the property remains completely private. French doors open onto a narrow balcony, the perfect place for sitting with a glass of wine and watching the sun set over the water on balmy evenings.

The fully equipped kitchen has granite work surfaces, high quality maple units and everything needed for preparing meals, although with Gylly Beach Cafe on the doorstep and the bars, restaurants and bistros in Falmouth town centre a 10 minute stroll away, eating out will certainly be an option.

The open plan layout of Gylly Sunrise is perfect for relaxed living, when spending time together is an important part of the holiday. Sofas are set before the view and the comfortable dining-area encourages long, leisurely meals. Both bedrooms are light and airy, with an en suite shower-room in the double bedroom and a family bathroom for the twin room to share.

There is plenty to do for active types, with both Gyllyngvase and Swanpool beaches offering water sports tuition, and clifftop walks along the coast, which are easily accessed from the apartment. Falmouth has a fascinating nautical history and a vibrant, meandering town centre with plenty of quirky independent shops, bars and eating places to sample. Ferries sail from the Prince of Wales Pier to Flushing, Truro and St Mawes, with fishing trips and coastal cruises also on offer.

There are wonderful subtropical gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan in the Helford valley and more at Trelissick near Truro and The Lost Gardens of Heligan to the east. The superb surfing beaches and dramatic coastline of the north coast are just half an hour away so there is much to see within a very short distance.
