The Beach Retreat

Seaview has a good selection of eateries just a short walk away. Head to The Old Fort for eclectic dining and fresh seafood with views of the Solent or try the Seaview Hotel for fine dining with a nautical theme. Lily's cafe is perfect for breakfast and lunch, including freshly brewed coffee, pastries and sandwiches to take to the beach. The Community Shop has a good selection of local produce, newspapers, dairy and baked goods so you can stock up here with everything you need.

The local beaches are blissful, quiet and ideal for swimming, building sandcastles and sea sports. Seagrove Bay is a favourite with golden sand at low tide and stunning views. Next door, Priory Bay can be reached by a board walk, simply stunning! Hersey Nature Reserve is also a short stroll away, where you can wander amongst nature and bird watch from the hides.

Seaview is an ideal place for a car free holiday, but if you do decide to travel further afield head for the pretty village of Bembridge, just ten minutes' drive away where you will find a wonderful bakery, fresh fish shop and Woodfords butchers. Head for the coast and see the iconic lifeboat station, standing proudly out to sea. At low tide Bembridge offers five wonderful miles of beach where you can wander in blissful seclusion.

Travel further afield and visit Osbourne House, once the home of Queen Victoria and now managed by English Heritage with beautiful gardens, a historic house and private beach waiting to be discovered. Whilst you are in the area, pop into legendary Cowes, home to the local yachting community and a great place for shopping for souvenirs. Whichever way you plan to spend your holiday days, The Beach Retreat is ideally situated on the Island.
