2 x Bunk-bedsLocated just a short stroll away from the beautiful beaches of Seaview, Alcantara is a magical place for a holiday. With oodles of space, stylish interiors and classic furnishings, this is the perfect holiday home for families or groups of friends looking for an Island escape.
From the moment you arrive at Alcantara you will be enchanted. The spacious entrance porch is ideal for storing your shoes and sandals and the hallway welcomes you into this beautiful home. The two separate sitting-rooms are cosy and inviting, both having a TV so the adults and children can enjoy different entertainment. Light fills the kitchen/diner where guests can gather around the large table for sociable meals and the kitchen has all the equipment you will need including the all-important dishwasher. A separate utility room is home to the washing machine and dryer.
Bedroom one is situated on the ground floor, with a comfy king-size double bed and en suite cloakroom. A separate wet-room, accessed via the utility-room can be found on the ground floor and is perfect for a refreshing shower or rinsing sandy toes. There is also a door from the garden into the wet-room, ideal for accessing direct from the beach. Climb the stairs where you will find two additional bedrooms. Bedroom two has a king size bed and bedroom three has two sets of bunk beds, great fun for the children in the party. The bunk-beds have the advantage of a double bottom bed and single top bunk however this room can only accommodate a maximum of four guests. Both bedrooms have access to the shared access bathroom with a bath and shower over.
To the rear of Alcantara you will find a secluded south-facing garden with lawn-area and established shrubs. This pretty spot is ideal for al fresco dining in the Island sunshine and great for the kids and family dog to let off steam. Private parking is available for one car with additional parking available on the road. This detached holiday home is in a great location, within easy reach of village amenities and perfect for holidays on the Island.
Seaview is a fabulous place for a holiday and from the moment you step onboard the ferry to cross the Solent your adventure will begin. You will find everything you need for your holiday just a short walk away from Alcantara. If the chef fancies a night off, try The Old Fort with eclectic seafaring interiors and a seafood lovers haven, or the award-winning Seaview Hotel for fine dining. If ice cream is in order, head for Seaview Deli and Lily's Cafe for freshly brewed coffee, cakes and fabulous sandwiches (perfect for beach picnics). For provisions the Seaview Community Shop has a good stock of local produce, dairy, meats, fresh vegetables and fruit. Seaview has three stunning beaches to choose from, all excellent for swimming, water sports and families.
You may decide not to use your car and enjoy a car free holiday but if you do decide to travel further afield Bembridge is just a ten-minute drive away. The village centre has a delightful selection of shops including and excellent bakery, fresh fish shop and Woodfords the family run butchers. With five miles of beach to explore at low tide you are sure to find a quiet spot here and don't forget to visit the iconic lifeboat station whilst you are there. It is possible to walk along the seafront from Seaview to Ryde, a lovely flat walk with stunning views to one side and woodland the other.
Call in at a variety of cafes on route, ideal for refreshments. The last remaining commercial hovercraft plies the waters from Ryde across the Solent and it is possible to take a day trip to remember from here. Another great place to visit is the Donkey Sanctuary near Ventnor where you can meet the donkeys, great fun for all the family. However you plan to spend your blissful holiday days, happy memories will be made at Alcantara.
