From the minute you pull into the drive of Lavethan Mill Cottage you know you have arrived somewhere really special. Sublimely positioned amidst beautifully landscaped gardens with peace and tranquility in abundance and exquisitely furnished, no expense spared interiors, this charming Grade II Listed cottage is the perfect rural retreat.

Attached to Lavethan Mill House (4380), the cottage retains many of the original features with slate floors, timber-clad walls and low ceilings (please mind your head). The kitchen/dining-room with its gorgeous electric Aga is the epitome of country living and the cosy sitting-room with its large comfy sofas and open fire make this the ideal place to unwind at the end of the day. The cottage stairs lead to the two elegant bedrooms and the most lavish of bathrooms – it is simply divine!

Spend time relaxing in the cottage garden, dining al fresco listening to the sound of the trickling water and glorious birdsong or explore the communal grounds and gardens which are quite stunning and will provide endless hours of delight and exploration along with plenty of room for all guests to find their own private spot.

At the end of the drive you can get on your bike or simply take a hike and explore the Camel Trail as it meanders approximately 17 miles through unspoilt north Cornish countryside from Wenford Bridge through Bodmin and Wadebridge and along the Camel river estuary to reach its final destination of Padstow. Why not stop off en route and try some award-winning Camel Valley wine? Both the north and south coasts are easily accessible along with the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and if you want to stock up on some provisions or sample some real ale, the attractive moorland village of Blisland is less than a mile away where you will find a traditional pub, Post Office and general store.

Lavethan Mill Cottage is the stuff holiday dreams are made of and we are sure you will want to return again and again.
