This spacious period house is on the edge of Dulverton, the gateway to Exmoor National Park, seconds from the riverside walk into this lovely little town.

Andrew's House is on the corner of a little lane and the road into Dulverton, with woodland on one side and the sound of the river on the other. The open plan ground floor has a stylish kitchen and the living-room has a cosy wood-burner and Smart TV with BT Sport. The double doors open out from the living-room onto a wonderful terrace with beautifully planted borders, perfect for al fresco dining.

Upstairs are three bedrooms (one with two single beds, which can be pushed together to make a double), a bathroom and a further shower-room with super-size shower. This is an exceptionally high quality semi-detached property in an excellent location.

Andrew’s House has 16th Century origins but has just been completely refurbished and is stylish and welcoming at the same time – with thoughtful extra touches, such as a Nespresso machine in the kitchen (do remember a supply of your favourite pods!) and even a secure storage safe in the main bedroom cupboard, just in case you do bring any valuables.

This is a great base for exploring the area or simply winding down in comfort, with the occasional stroll into the town for local provisions from the deli or a pub lunch by the river.

Dulverton is a very small town but one that is at the heart of life on Exmoor. There is a useful Exmoor National Park Centre, a good range of small independent shops, tea shops and cafes – try Tantivy for a morning coffee when you wander into the town for the papers and highly recommended for an evening meal is Woods restaurant – you will need to book your table! Beyond Dulverton are the open moors where you can stride across the hillsides with a packed lunch and a map. Withypool is a great starting point or perhaps Simonsbath or Tarr Steps and Landacre Bridge.

Dunkery Beacon is the highest point on Exmoor, for panoramic views as far as the eye can see. You will love discovering all these places and more during your stay here.

Please note: A flying freehold means that the main bedroom is over the neighbouring property, as this is the way that this large period property was converted many years ago.
