Named appropriately for the beautifully maintained south-facing garden it overlooks and only a mile from the unspoilt seaside village of Perranuthnoe and spectacular coastal footpaths, this gem of a little cottage is ideal for a couple or small family of three.

Attached to the far side of the friendly owners' home, Garden Cottage is set well back from the road, and handily, just a short stroll from Goldsithney's village centre with a shop and two pubs.

Inside, the compact open plan living-room is tastefully and traditionally furnished and the galley kitchen has all you need to prepare breakfast, lunch or supper or perhaps a cheeky cream tea. The amazing artworks adorning the walls have been created by the talented owner. First floor access is via wooden open-tread stairs and leads to the primary bedroom with king-size bed and the restful twin bedroom (offering flexibility for three guests) as well as the family bathroom.

The real star of the show here is the beautifully maintained garden, tempting holiday rest and relaxation. The patio right outside the front door is perfectly placed for a morning coffee, lunch time snack or night time beverage before going up the wood hill to Bedfordshire.

Beyond the surprisingly peaceful garden is plenty of parking space - please beware, the entrance is narrow and should be negotiated with care.

Garden Cottage is just five minutes' drive from St Michael's Mount at Marazion. This rocky island with medieval church and castle is home to the St Aubyn's and the family have inhabited the castle for generations. From Marazion, head towards Penzance for its vibrant, interesting mix of people, shops, bars and restaurants before heading on further towards Newlyn and Mousehole. Also, you are just a few miles from St Ives which needs no introduction, with its iconic little harbour, stunning beaches, galleries, eclectic shops and friendly seagulls - beware of your ice cream!

In this wonderfully diverse part of Cornwall there is plenty for everyone to see and do, not to mention a walk along the many coastal footpaths, visiting Geevor Tin Mine, Lands End, try some surfing at Sennen Cove or culture vultures may enjoy a night of entertainment as the sun goes down over the yardarm at the Minack Theatre.
