A delightful Barn in a scenic rural setting with outstanding views. Ideal for relaxing. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was beautifully appointed. Easy access to great walks along the South Downs Way and local villages.

A superb cottage, the best we have ever stayed in.
The location is great, as are the hosts Hugo & Jo
There is a very good pub in Elsted (about one mile away) offering excellent beer and food

From the moment we arrived at Beacon Hill Barn, we knew we had stumbled upon a gem. Tucked away near the South Downs, the cottage provided a tranquil base with easy access to the South Downs Way and local sights. The interior of the barn was a highlight, with high-quality furnishings and tasteful decor that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each morning, we were greeted by spectacular views of the peaceful countryside. The serenity of the location was a true luxury, allowing us to unwind in the quiet surroundings. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable with their excellent recommendations and thoughtful welcome pack. The barn came fully equipped with all the modern appliances and comforts we could wish for, making it a home away from home. We particularly enjoyed eating at the Three Horseshoes pub in Elsted and the White Hart in South Harting, as well as exploring local sites like Petworth House and the village of Midhurst with Cowdray Ruins. In essence, Beacon Hill Barn is an absolutely beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. The hosts are outstanding, and their attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat....

What an amazing place to spend a relaxing few days! We settled on this cottage due largely to its location, and didn't expect it to be quite so perfect. A warm welcome from hosts/owners Hugo and Jo was followed by a relaxing few days soaking up the peace and quiet of the South Downs, cocooned in Beacon Hill Barn. The facilities are first class, and it's clear the owners take huge pride in trying to make their guests feel welcome. Our visit, near Christmas, was made all the more special by things like the complimentary mince pies on arrival, lovely Christmas tree and other festive decorations, and FOC 'arrival pack' that included things like fresh eggs and milk, bread and so on. The cottage is essentially brand new (Dec 2024) and as such is built to modern standards, which means it is VERY well insulated. Worth bearing in mind if you plan to stay during our increasingly warm summers. All in all, though, a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable place. ...

The Barn provides very stylish and comfortable accommodation with lovely views from the windows and French doors. Spotlessly clean, too. A big plus in my book. The hosts, Hugo and Jo, were very welcoming and checked in with us during the week, but were not intrusive. So much to see and do - Chichester and its Pallant Gallery (a must), Petworth, Hinton Ampner, and Arundel Castle (expensive but well worth it, allow plenty of time), etc. Many footpaths to explore. We had a wonderful week favoured with great weather. ...
