This long sandy beach is the perfect choice for families and windsurfers a like. With panoramic views of the harbour and South Downs you can spend an hour or the whole day enjoying the scenery. Life guards are in attendance during high season and parking is available close by on the grass banks (charges apply). Dogs are allowed from the end of September through until the end of April, after this time, restrictions apply locally.

Climb Beacon Hill (also known as Harting Beacon) and you will discover a hillfort dating back to Anglo-Saxon times. The climb to the top is steep but well worth it for the stunning views of the South Downs.

Here you will find a pretty village with a main street of grand Georgian buildings. Situated next to the South Downs Way,there's a plethora of footpaths and trails, perfect for walkers and cyclists. If you are in the area take a look at Uppark, a fabulous National Trust property.

At the foot of the South Downs, this thriving city is set in the heart of West Sussex and surrounded by rolling countryside. An easy and interesting morniongs walk
Go for it! Walk the walls. These will take you, unsurprisingly, right around Chichester. Some parts have been lost over the years, but its easy to pick up the next and continue. Every so often you will find opportunities to sample cake, coffee and sandwiches at one of the many local cafes, so you can replace all the calories you have so virtuously walked off.
Perfectly placed for exploring the South Downs and beyond, Petersfield is a charming town with an interesting museum, gallery and 17th century-styled Physic Garden.
A traditional pub nestled in the heart of Stoughton in the heart of the rolling countryside. Popular with visitors and locals alike, this pub offers cask ales and premium draught cider. There's a garden available and dogs are welcome.
